I think you should be going to get some bamboo chairs as well LOL

you are not wrong.
you walk down walking street and you,ll either spot, or be spotted by a bm sitting in a bamboo chair. :D

Of which there is only one LB bar - Linda's that has these kinds of chairs. Kind of ironic that this is one of the places you don't give a flying F**k for.....

I wonder how much the rent is that prime location versus the same space in Sunee Plaza - probably 6X as much I would imagine.
In all seriousness, I know the reason why the model for a decent place won't work in Pattaya and its simple. Not enough people are willing to pay barfines and they try and circumnavigate them. i.e they go in look at the eye candy, buy one drink and try and set up their little side deal with the girl/LB. That is why bars with hostess staff have to be so attuned with this and why little bars don't give a flying f**k about it as invariably they know the whereabouts of their (few) staff at any given point and can spot these punters a mile off.
Quite agree with that Mardhi, i can't believe the numbers doing that in Pattaya, when i visit. In fact i would say the "proper" punters there, are in the minority!
I see a freelance LB venue being the next thing someone tries in Pattaya but the headache will be all the Yaba addicts trying to monopolise it and make their own little mafia kingdom - akin to what has part caused the downfall of JSB. In the meantime, the poor mug operator has to find 100,000b + rent per month from selling drinks with a 30b margin.
Yep, a freelancer venue cant work, even if the Yaba-heads are ejected, as they would just continue freelancing elsewhere. And can you imagine the headaches from dealing with the complaints?!? OMG!

Sorry, Mr Pentire, i'm not good at splitting up a quote. "Must try harder", as my teachers used to say.

i never mentioned lb bars.
there are loads of gg bars on walking street with bamboo chairs we all sit at and watch the madness.
linda bar chairs are diferent, they are made from beautifully handcrafted hardwood with handmade cushions.
a diferent ballgame altogther.

Because they are not the same style of operation.

Absolutely, i know that. And heres again the difference of punter comes into play. A guy with 4 days holiday in Bkk will hit the NEP joints every night, buy drinks and barfine like there is no tomorrow. The longtimer will eventually seek out the comfy chair , in a more quiet relaxed enviroment such as Corner or Sallys.

fair enough, you are the ONLY bar owner who posts out in the general section, so only you will ever take offence from any postings.
the discussion is a valid one, and nothing personal.

You and Jimbo represent the premium bars, in two of the most interesting cities in Los, as far as i´m concerned,
You are the only guys who discuss with us and seem to care, i appreciate that.
I "was" WalterRL a few years ago, but that has changed, too old now,i prefer the bars with anthonys checklist. Not sure i´m welcome in your bars, as i probably won´t spend 15+ k in one evening.

Never thought some FM's would be so thin skined or threatened by 'nuff said'. Again it is called p4p for a reason and barfines are the current method to fulfill that. Just my two cents

Of course you'd be very welcome, Sev7en. Just because we make a fuss of the newbie/big spenders, doesn't mean we don't care about the other guys too.

I make a big fuss over the newbies because i want to help them have a great holiday, and come back! The most important thing is to get repeat customers!

If they happen to be nice guys, that makes the whole thing easier. And i've made a stack of friends, who also happen to be repeat customers.

Hartmut: don't get upset - this is good-natured (on the whole) interesting discussion. Also very useful for feedback on what the customers actually want (bamboo chairs, lol).

now we are lucky if we get a smile.

And hopefully it will help you, the customer, understand why a barowner would get upset by the "I don't give a flying fuck about the bar", comments. After all, if somebody tried to steal your income, i dare say you would have something pretty acid to say about it.

(see how skilfully i got it back on topic ? :D )

help me to understand why a member of staff, who comes in night after night for work, cant take two weeks off when her known boyfriend comes over.
why must there be a penalty.?

i emphasise one known boyfriend, and once a year.
not the millions of customers that they annoyingly called boyfriends.
