I've done this a number of times with the same girl in the past .
When she knew I was coming she stopped work that month , stayed with me for a few weeks then freelanced at her bar the rest of the month .
.
thats how it worked for me also.
so now the precedent is set, i wouldnt pay.
the bar will still have her back once i am gone, as she is one of the most popular.

To say one does not care about other businesses seems to be a bit short sighted. You can learn from other businesses successes and failures to make your business better and ultimately more profitable.
if i owned a bar in thailand maybe , but i dont.
I do not think I am. 'cheap charlie' but ii do not recall spending in the bar 10K or even 5K a night.
then you are thought of a cheap mate. we all are.
unless you are a bell ringer.
and whatever you tip is never enough.

why is it non of the lb bars quite have what sally bar and the corner bar have.?
Because they are not the same style of operation. Correct me if I wrong but neither Sally's or Corners have ST rooms?
I suspect that both the bars you mention see selling cheap drinks as their primary source of revenue.
quote]
sally bar does have short rooms, and they are very busy.
the diference these bars have, is an atmosphere where you can relax with friends, check out the staff, and the fuck is there if you want it.
they also have a mixed bag of staff.
sallys is lb,s and gg,s.
corner bar is lb,s and gayboys.
in an ideal world , there would be a relaxed bar which had all three in it.
gg,s, lb,s and gays .(alright femboys)
something for everyone, bit of a pic and mix.
stick in some bamboo chairs, popcorn and the rest of it, and what do you know...........

Ah, semantics. It's beautiful thing. Sorry didn't mean to digress but thought it was along the same "employee" lines we are discussing.
Please carry on. Great stuff
And wasting all my time
Cuz when you're standing oh so near
I kinda lose my mind, yeah

over the past 20 years my experience has been that if someone leaves the bar for one night or 10 nights the bar fine still gets paid. This is from both a well know go go bar in Pattaya and bars in patong and kamala. There's a guy at the moment into his 3rd week of a barfine with a dancer in patts at the moment- how he can put up with the same girl for so long baffles me tho- variety is the spice of life. Some places work on a day to day rate, others will negotiate a long term compromise.
When it comes to taking a break, in my opinion there's a big difference between going home to the baan or going off somewhere else with a customer- at the end of the day work is work, just coz she's jetted off somewhere with a punter doesn't mean a bar should lose out.
Put the boot on the other foot- guy plans holiday, has his 'to do list' ( bad idea anyway) and finds out the girls on the list have fcuked off- he therefore doesn't visit the bar and consequently it loses more custom.
I know its a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing milk-bone underwear but there is common ground and in my humble opinion girl leaves bar with punter there's a fee, to make up for the lost revenue.
As a long term resident I don't like bar fines but its part of the p4p system so I have to run with it. I could sneak around calling girls after work to dodge a whole B400 but why fuck up a good thing. If one of them calls me out of hours though (these rare occasions do occur!) it's their choice and doesn't affect the bar ( again in my opinion and hasn't occurred with C&Ds anyway). If it were me and I had the will to take someone from a bar for an extended period I would expect to recompense the place.

Cling the western way of doing things by observing what we do right and improving it and seeing what we do wrong and fixing it. That is the only way to proper in today's climate. The tuk-tuks in patong are a classic example of this, they only care about their business and no one else, end result is the tourist industry suffers and no more need for tuk-tusk. Again my 2cents worth or less depending on exchange rate.
