I don't like the colour!!! I want a black body with a pink Lens

You're French right. And have humor. OMG! Me on the other hand, I wear clogs to the office, which is a converted windmill, and i water the tulips in my office every morning. No chance of humor. Lol.

Have a look at that:

Ah nice. nice. Very nice to get yes. Bear in mind you're giving in on focal lenght at both ends (as you're not shooting full frame, effective ~42/~200 in comparison to ~27/~300), but depending on your primary purposes is a very nice get yes. Would advice to test focal lenghts, quite a bit of difference.
Does also have some image quality issues at top and low end though like 18-200 (darkening around corners) if you go into details, but all in all great lens, like the 18-200. Article should give more details if written objectively.
Nice to see you're considering Canon :-) Welcome :-)

Back to our subject
At last and eventually i have found the dSLR i want (i want it badly) and i'm sure you'll approve my choice . It's a little bit less expensive than the 450D
Dixon will also have to reconsider his choice...

Have a look at that:

But Josh, I thought two of your 'must have' features were a black body and a pink lens, this has a pink body and green lens! :P

Since this discussion about dSLRs began I have spent hours online reading up and also visited 3 different camera shops to handle cameras and chat about alternatives and deals etc.. I am lucky enough to have all 3 camera shops within a 10 minute walk of where I work.

I will continue to read and learn for a while longer before making a final decision and a commitment. However, I am currently down to two but will continue to investigate others around my revised budget :)

I am currently focusing on the following two options:

1. Canon EOS 450D Twin Lens Bundle + 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens + Tamron 70-300mm f4/5.6 DI LD Macro

2. Nikon D90 + 18-105mm Kit Lens

Both of these are about £100 apart and several hundred pounds above what I initially intended to spend, but that was only a rough guideline. Until I was aware what was available out there the D60 acted my starting point.

Time will tell ... :)

I have the Nikon D90 which I am still trying to find the time to get to grips with but I'm impressed so far....... :)

I also swapped my Sony DSC T300 for a Nikon S230 which is astonishing...........I'm not yer man for reading the manuals and within 30 secs I was making video's with it..........simple to use and a 7 x Optical zoom.......brilliant results for a wee point & press......

I actually like the French. Especially fella named Yann Tierssen -

I see where your going. Love the Canon obviously. Would advice against the lens choice though, but not sure what your purpose will be, effectively you'll be shooting at a whopping 140-450 that's a lot of zoom. Lol. The kit lens, well you know what i think about that. Hehe. The 18-105 Nikon lens is nice, but failry limited effective range then. First lenses give you lots of versatility yes.

Like the bodies, nice starters :-)

Yes Dutch, Tiersen is talented. He also plays piano and guitar. Though i'm not a fan, i liked one or two songs of him in the past specially original soundtrack. He's a native of Britany where all my family comes from.

Talking about music, you make me think of a saxophonist from Holland that i love so much (her music and the person she is), i'm a big fan of her and you certainly have heard about that sexy girl; i'm talking about Candy Dulfer 8) 8) 8)
The only place in LOS where i could hear her songs was in EZY BAR
8) Thanks to Karl!!!
