Jim's thread has been a mainstay of this forum for years now. I can understand him being upset with his post just being deleted, without even being asked to edit it. But, I can also understand the mods just doing the job they've volunteered to do, and following the rules they've agreed to follow as mods.

OTOH, BenBen's offensive comment was completely uncalled for, and I must also admit some surprise that, so far, it hasn't been edited or deleted.

I can only hope that Jim will reconsider, and that he will hopefully restart the posting of his his excellent thread sometime in the not distant future.


Edit: Regardless, this forum is 'home' for me, I barely have the time to keep up with it. So, as much as I'd like Jim to reconsider, I doubt I'll be leaving this forum for the lack of a continuously updated C&D thread.

Every day when i get off work i check my email and go straight to jims thread on here. to see all the fun that has gone on that night . and i am guessing many here do the same . now that jimbo has been run off from here i guess i will follow his thread on the other forum as it has the same posts about all the same bars . and i can still see all the beautiful lady's of C&D in jimbos post on their as he still posts on their just not on here any more.

I'm with soulboy on this. Don't quit your day job, Bear. Jimbo ran off; he wasn't "run off". I too enjoy looking at the C&D thread. In fact, it is the only Bars and Venues thread that I read. It reminds me of the old Franck days. Franck had a wildly popular blog about his Club 131. It was "must" reading. He also took umbrage at some imagined slight, and ran off for a very short time. Franck later left LOS, but the forum survived. I hope Jimbo comes back, but if he doesn't, we'll all live.
