While I missed the more upscale ambiance of the original, Guess Bar remains a fantastic concept. Can think of few things better than a ladyboy lounge with good drinks, comfortable seating, friendly, low-key service, a pool table - AND sexy ladyboys draped about the room! Certainly unique when contrasted with the older NEP and Patpong venues
Enjoyed a few games of pool with old friends Ohm and Janni (who's become a bit of a shark on the table!) and drinks with Nam and the ever lovely Jay. Sorry to hear that sexy little Nui has a boyfriend now and is no longer on staff, but plenty of new talent. Caught up a bit with Mardhi and said hello to a few other LB 69 forum members and longtime denizens of the bangkok/pattaya scene. Unfortunately I only had a few hours in town, so I had to leave earlier than I would have liked in order to sample the NEP sleaze pits
I wish Jay and Mardhi all the best with Guess Bar and hope it can make them enough money to become a fixture of the Bangkok scene. It's just great to have a laidback venue like that with top-notch talent.
