The difference will be when you do head back to Helsinki in the future, to see friends and family, that's when I notice the benefits of living in Thailand.

I look forward to my time head back to the West and try to go back twice a year for around 2 weeks at a time. Two weeks always seems about the right length of time for me, and when I'm there I feel so relaxed and carefree, enjoying my time while always look forward to heading back to Thailand.

It's a strange feeling feeling as happy leaving Thailand as you do arriving.

Finally i found helmet. Is it any good, no idea, but hopefully i never find out that. 2500THB from Honda shop.

After spending whole sunday in front of computer and editing pool party pics, i decide to keep low profile at monday and pretty much do nothing than just rest. Seems that my inner clock is in Finland timezone, meaning when i wake up 13.00, my body still thinks that it's only 8.00 in morning. Little bit frustrating because half of day has gone when you just wake up.

Probably so. Usually i went north every Christmas to see my family, but now i don't know yet. Or who know, maybe i get bored and move back earlier... 555

Anyway i just love that woman voice "end of the walkway" in Suvarnabhumi airport. It tell's me that i'm "home"...

It seems that my new lens doesn't arrive today even it supposed. Feeling little bit disappointed now, i was like child waiting for Christmas. Hopefully tomorrow then.

I have little bit problem with food. If i eat european style food, i have no problem with stomach, but oh Lord if i try to eat thai food, soon my ass is singing Hosanna on toilet. I've been here now week and half, and only time when i had to wake up middle of night because of diarrhea, was when i ate tom jam moo. Taste was delicious, actually best what i have ever taste in thailand, but it's just not worth of it when you have to run to toilet in middle of night, sitting there almost sleeping and trying to open your hole just a little bit so rebound doesn't wet your balls and ass cheeks. Annoying.

Madam want to go movies today, so we are going to see how Captain America will save a world (again). Her favorite actor, you see. I wonder if she could change me to him... 555

I always feel strong positive feeling when Royal Anthem starts in movies. It's so different world with different manners here. These are all those little things what i wanted to see in my adventure and makes this so exciting.

I'm sure you're stomach will soon start adapting to the local food. It's early days.

If you're going to be eating a lot of Foreign food it pays to cook and eat more at home, especially if you want to create a more healthy diet and lifestyle.

One tip is to invest in a good rice cooker, which not only cooks rice, but steams vegetables and meat at the same time. If you start using one of those you'll not only control your health and diet better but also save a lot of money.

I recently started using my rice cooker that way. A Vietnamese girl that I hang around with taught me a little trick for a quick and easy meal. Put a little beef jerky in with your rice and it softens while flavoring your rice, it's pretty damn good just like that, but you could certainly add some vegetables in there too.

Some of the better rice cookers will come with a tray which hangs above the cooking rice. You can use that to steam vegetables and rice, while the juices will drip into the rice to liven the flavour. In fact you can even just use water and steam without cooking rice. My rice cooker is the second best investment I have ever made - the first being a one-way ticket to Thailand.

Finally i got my new lens, but because it seemed to cause some very weird things in another forum and left little bit bad taste in my mouth, i don't want to talk about it more. People are strange.

I went to Nancy's birthday at friday to take some pics because they asked so. Those pics can be found here...

http://ladyboyforum....photos/page-182

We also bought rice cooker (thanks Kim) and first set was "almost" successful... or then it was the rice what we chosed. I never taste brown jasmine rice before (we have only white jasmine rice in Finland in normal shops), so i'm not quite sure if it was like it should be, but taste was good. Anyway we need practise.

Funny thing, Sonya's co-workers in Big-C have asked to "bring me to shown", so we had to go there to make our food shopping. In the end i was standing there as a "trophy wife" of "best bull on the show- winner", when her friends gathered around me. One guy even said straight to me, "you are handsome". First time when another man say something like that to me... 555

Songkran started too early this year and when we were going to Central Festival yesterday, i got bucket of cold water straight to shirt. Luckily it was shirt, not trouser because my mobile phone was there. It would be fun to know how many mobile phones will die this year because of Songkran. Anyway this madness will last next week and i hate it already. Probably stay in room next 7 days.

Changing from tourist visa to ED visa.

Need some advice guys. What you think is the best (easiest) way to change my status from tourist to ED visa. I need to go out from thailand and i already have ticket to Finland, so should i go to helsinki to get stamp for ED visa (and pay another flight ticket to thailand) or is there easier (read: faster and cheaper) way to do it? Cambodia perhaps?

"When you have received the documents from us, those who are in Thailand must exit the country to change their visas at a Thai embassy or consulate which will cost you around 2000 Baht."

Regarding the rice, brown rice is healthier than white rice but it's rare to see it in restaurants, the Thais just don't seem to go for it and much prefer the taste of the White, but I usually go with the brown, you soon get used to the taste.

Regarding ED visa: have you already signed up for a course? If you haven't Pro Language were doing a special offer of 19,000 Baht up until the end of March (normal price 24,000), but I'm pretty sure if you ask for this price they'd give it to you.

Once you have registered for a course and have the official registration documents you then have to leave Thailand and apply for an ED visa. You don't have to go far, you can apply at a Thai embassy or consulate In Laos (I think Cambodia too). I think the Laos application can be done in a day, or at least an overnight stay. The only benefit to flying to Europe would be that some embassies allow you to get a multi entry ED visa, whereas the embassies closer to Thailand tend to only give a single entry.

The difference between a multi and single entry visa (this is my rough unofficial explanation):

A single entry gives you a 1 year visa, once in Thailand you have to do some form of paperwork with your school every 90 days, and if you want to leave Thailand during that year you have to apply for leave at immigration and pay a fee (1900 I think).

A multi-entry gives you a 1 year visa but requires you to leave the country at least every 90 days (or within 90). You can leave Thailand as much and as often as you like as long as you never stay longer than 90 days without crossing a border, and every time you enter you'll get a 90 day stamp until your visa expires. You don't have to do any paperwork or visit immigration and if you do a visa run on the last day of your visa you will get a new 90 day stamp, effectively making it a 15 month visa. You can simply get a visa run van to the Cambodian border, you don't need to fly or stay out of the country any length of time.

The benefit of getting a multi-entry is if you plan to leave Thailand a few times during the year and like the extra 3 months. Great if you like to do little trips away and weekends across the border. But if you plan on staying in Thailand solid for the year just go to Vientiane and apply for a single entry ED there. Several visa shops in Pattaya can arrange you a cheap 2 or 3 day trip for you and help you with all the paperwork making sure it's done quickly and guarnteed - I'm guessing at a cost under 8000 Baht all inclusive.
