I've had the same, albeit reverse, experience in a Thai Buddhist temple.

When in Bangkok, I always go to the giant temple that contains the Emerald Buddha. I first went there in the early 80's, while touring with my ex-wife. I loved the place.

Over the years, single again, I always went back. Inside, there was such a tranquility to the place, always shaded and cool, it always filled me with a sense that everything really is going to be ok. I would sit there (I admit to meditating) sometimes for more than an hour in silence. Rather than a sense of foreboding, I would proceed from there with a renewed optimism.

In hua hin, spent the better part of my last 4 months in thailand in issan and to be quite frank im apalled at the gawking the falangs and tourists do while walking around town with my ladyboy. Just took a train halfway across thailand, done touring and moving around going back to the farm tomorrow to isolation, and laziness until i make milk for him before i return to the states to reality. Thanks nix, it was a big deal to both of us, aside from getting gashed for 75000 baht, to me there was almost a funeral like quality to the proceedings, a time of mourning, my boy has died, gone and left me, his perfect physique forever ruined, now just a bizarre caricature of a woman, because i can truly say ive never seen a pair of boltons revealed that turned me on, that didnt look odd, out of place or mishapen, sure they can be attractive hidden behind a dress or bikini but the cold hard truth in the stark light of day tells another story.
