Paccers, A couple of points. I am not attacking you but I just disagree. 1 - Riga clearly doesn't do her best and is quite obviously a shite manager which results in LB-69 board members being ripped off. If Riga can't help it because the staff "never stop" then the staff should be sacked. This is not one or two girls. It is embedded in the culture of the bar. Sack staff that rip off customers, simple. 2 - The owner is upset. Good. He should be. As owner of the bar he is culpable. He owns a clip joint. He is ripping off board members. 3 - Is it best he keeps posting pics and promoting his bar? I don't agree. Promote his bar so more BM's can be ripped off? I can't see how this should be encouraged. 4 - Do you have some connection with the bar? You often seem to side with the bar. No big deal if you are. I was just wondering.

Is that something these charitable buddhists needs to be taught? Shouldn't that be one of them compassionate traits of being a buddhist?

Don't worry. It might just be one of the safest places around. I’ve been in quite a few far scarier in many places in Asia.

They have managers and security staff looking out for you plus you have the added safety net of the hotel just a few meters away with more management and security. I’m sure Candy is also looking out for you as well.

Give it another shot and see what happens.

1) Riga is far from perfect but she tries. She actually does a good job for the bar, every time I criticised her in the past, I was told that.

I see her from the farang's point of view but I have noticed that the girls respect her & I suggest anyone having trouble inside the bar get her assistance

2) The owner sorted out a drama I had in the bar years ago. There is no question of him being involved in any "rip-off". And remember, he isn't allowed to enter his own bar, he only hears about this stuff after the event.

In my personal experience, he reversed the problem, so it isn't fair to accuse him of ripping-off anyone. I know he wears the responsibility for what happens inside but having met him I can tell you he isn't the bad guy here.

3) Why should he stop posting pics? There's some great girls there & the forum benefits from his thread. And now the thread is full of warnings about the need to be aware. So BMs who visit on the strength of this thread will also be awake to potential problems. I went inside the place every night for over 3 months, I never experienced or saw any drama at all.

Doveface was right to be upset by the girl keeping his change but in his position I would have pissed off the uninvited girl in the first 10 seconds & I would never give payment to anyone other than the waitress. I am not wanting to embarrass him but there is always two sides to every story.

4) Yes, I do side with the bar a lot but no, I have no connection other than a familiarity with the hotel & management. I like to think of it as a friendship, I am not sure how they view me.

And the reason I have come out strongly in the past to defend the place is because they don't have anyone else who does. At the time I had the drama I referred to above sorted out to my complete satisfaction, there was an outbreak of hostility launched against the hotel & bar in another forum. This was some years back & I was upset that everyone went out of their way to misrepresent everything about the place.

I can't abide injustice & the more all these angry BMs attacked the place, the more I vowed to at least put the other side of the argument. With these latest incidents, I have been a lot more circumspect because of the depth of feeling & my wish not to aggravate the situation. Sometimes you can't stop the tide.

Thank you for your Candid response Pacman. I do differ in opinion somewhat but I do agree that it is good to have someone who ensures a more balanced discussion. Regarding the ownership issue: If he is just property owner then I withdraw my comments. However if he also owns the business that operates the bar then he has to take some responsability IMO. I don't believe that not being able to enter the property because if title issues is an excuse. Anyway, we can agree to disagree, because as you say, this bar is here to stay. Hopefully the behaviour improves but I can't see myself visiting the bar. A shame, because I have stayed in the hotel and it was fun and the staff were fine. Cheers Pacman.
