After further investigation we would like to announce that relevant to the issue of a few nights back, the girl in question has been suspended for 15 nights and, a complimentary bottle of Bar Champagne to the unlucky couple.

I think we're all wrong. It is just a problem of mislabeling. If it had occurred in High-Boss we'd not say a thing. In fact, if it was high-boss it wouldn't have come about because we'd all be more alert and keep our guards up. Our problem is that we buy into the illusion of the nice decor and set-up of the club and then at the end of the day like a child in the circus we're sometimes frustrated to learn that it's all a sham. If you start treating it like a soi 6/1 joint instead of a 13/4 venue you'd see that it will all sort itself.
If you accept that, you'd probably be back to loving the place - because the girls are amazing and the set-up is cool.

Always interesting when someone seemingly very knowledgeable magically shows up and makes a first post telling us why the place really isn't so bad. Although at least the poster has been a member for a while so I guess didn't create a new identity just to pass this jewel of wisdom along.

I'm more careful in Obsessions than most anywhere else because the place had a bad rep since it was an all GG Gogo. So I was prepared when they tried to short change me a few weeks ago. I grow weary and now avoid the place unless I'm with other BMs that just have to go in. And perhaps I won't even do that anymore.

FWIW the Pook bars have been ripped pretty good on this board for some of their practices. Not to mention the face of another bar that no longer posts.

@XYZZY, fair point, but I'm just another FM with no affiliation to the bar or anyone involved in this incident. I'm not a contributor but I do follow the forum. Like others, I'm bugged by how such a great club has one of the poorest shift-management teams. I stepped out of the dark and offered my view because I've been in the OP's situation myself (sans the amazing GF regrettably) and this is what solved it for me. I still have good nights and bad nights there and never know what to expect, but I don't get caught off guard anymore. All I can say to the club's owners is that if it wasn't like that I'd probably be spending a whole lot more time and baht there.

Well fingers crossed, I've been lucky so far over the past few years but I will point out that in Bangkok where I do most of my whoring, there really is hardly a bar in the Nana Plaza area where I have not been either short changed, hustled or threatened one way or another and this goes back many years to labour the point, I remember the clip joints in Patpong which are still there that literally lock you in the upstairs bar and demand thousands for the couple of afternoon cokes on the pretext that somewhere in the bar an old dog is performing some kind of show which we did not even notice.
Many have paid I know but on this occasion my girlfriend and myself were able to extricate ourselves, but lesson learned.
But I think in comparison, most of the goings on in Pattaya are reasonably sane and I think a little safer.
And now, next door to my favorite bar to see if Candy is alive and fit.
This now makes 2 posts and I must make sure that I do not get drawn into the various battles of the day.

No, it's probably worse as by the date it appears someone created a new account just to make that post so as to not use their regular account?? Sorry, as often happens in sports refereeing, I missed the first possible foul and caught the second possible foul. And perhaps it didn't gain my attention because I hate Obsessions.

Got approached by the manager of the bar as I was munching my dinner in the Penthouse cafe today. He asked me how everything was and invited me over to the bar and said he'd make sure we'd get some free drinks. Just thought I'd let you guys know :-)

As having been myself in the service industry for more years than I would care to remember (and I doubt if anything I had experienced over that time would come close to running a business in Asia, the nightmares alone, I could barely imagine). I learnt to realize that the customer is “always right” was just a little far from the truth, and that was in the West.
Here in Asia dealing with a wide variety of nationalities, all with varying and different requirements, expectations and views; and then adding the hot topic of available sex, alcohol and whatever else seems to be available, along with old men trying to re-live their youth by postulating in front of their prostitute of the night and hoping to gain brownie points to make up for a soft dick. I really sympathize with those in Asia trying to provide a service. It is sad to think that any customer / forum warrior may well have been yesterday's wife beater, child abuser, robber, murder or just a common conman. (And maybe continuing to be so! … Not that I am of course suggesting that this gentleman in question, falls into either or any of these categories, but the fact remains that this and other forums are open for such people to express views that may or may not always be accurate and fair, even downright misleading or mischievous. And, when the “Forum pint” is added to the equation as an incentive then don't expect the truth to show any prominence whatsoever.
Pattaya being as it is, a magnet for failed foreigners endeavoring to scrape together enough cents for the next meal, let alone visa or a night in a reasonable hotel with a reasonable bed partner, attracts an unfair number of undesirables. It sounds harsh but this is the reality of this seaside resort and in turn does little to foster the locals to react amicably. And of course so many posts/emails are written by such failed expats and others under duress, and intimidation of consequences resulting often from their own mistakes and choices and for the promise of personal gain if certain targets are achieved!
Sorry for such a serious post but in Asia nothing is what it seems and enjoy while you can, but don’t stack the chips against any outcome!
Tonight is my last night and I am off to enjoying myself with all what Pattaya has to offer but do look forward to returning to this great place as soon as funds permit after all, there is never a free ride in life and everything has to be earned.
