You do understand the a legally recognized marriage between a ladyboy and a male is not possible in LOS. Thailand does not recognize same sex marriage, so before you spend your 2000 pounds be sure you are not being scammed!

Official Thai ladyboy IDs all indicate sex as "Male".

The Amphur costs a few baht. Not 2k! Without a wedding ceremony you can get married and sort out all the visa stuff for less than 1,000 baht. 8)
As kids we're not taught how to deal with success; we're taught how to deal with failure. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. If at first you succeed, then what?

When I got married in Thailand the cost for the Amphur was zero baht. However, I paid B500 to smooth the process otherwise I would have to have queued up for half a day like everybody else.

Additional (but not mandatory) costs were B500 for the marriage certificate translation, due to it being an official document, plus the cost of rice wine, beer, fags and food.

Didn't pay anything for sinsot either, that's an old wives tale to extract more of your money :|

You cannot be legally married to a male in LOS - the government does not recognize it, so there are no official Thai papers saying you are married to an LB. If they are talking about a Buddhist ceremony - this has no legal recognition in LOS.

If you are not legally married in LOS, you cannot bring your lb over to the UK on a marriage visa. If someone was telling you this, it isn't true, unless you are paying for a fake gov't marriage certificate. This might be risky if someone in UK immigration clues in.

The marriages the other board members are talking about are to a gg, not an lb.

Wish you good luck - but be very sure you are proceeding the correct way. You wouldn't want her to be deported later because of fake documents.
