I've arrived at Bangkok's International airports dozens of times. But even now, as I sheepishly sneak through the green channel dragging a wheelie case containing dildo's, a prostate massager, slutty high heels and a selection of slutty girl's clothes after an 11 hour flight my mind isn't the sharpest.

It's easy to be off guard and I still have to gather my thoughts and get-it-together for the taxi ride to LadyboyLand

For a first-timer this could be a confusing time

Go to ANY taxi.

Offer to pay 200-400 for BKK - 1000-1500 for Pattaya.

Well Moo if you have the time to swap Emails with Mr. T Taxi before you leave for your flight a driver will be standing near door 3, with a sign with your name on it, waiting to take you to Pattaya for 1000 baht including tolls (900 baht on the return).

The web site posted earlier doesn't say anything about costs, but someone said it would be about 100 baht to Nana area. Can't imagine too many people lugging their baggage on train then when they get to destination they have to get a taxi anyway or walk from station to hotel just to save half the cost of Taxi from airport.

Personally I think it's a brilliant thread, as I had the same realization when I left BKK on my first trip. I remember rolling up to Suvarnabhumi on the top level there, right up to a police attendant who was escorting a rich looking Korean businessman. And I thought to myself, <"Now isn't that neat; this Korean dude is completely bypassing the wonder-mess of taxi heckling and bartering down low and coming up here to take this taxi that I'm leaving. So not only is my taxi driver getting a good deal (400BHT and 100 tip to make an even 500) by getting me out here, but he gets a good deal by having this immediate pick-up for the return into the metro... This fucking taxi driver and all the rest of them acted like it was going to be a hellish journey of fantastic feats and obstacles galore, and really it wasn't so bad, was it, you fuckin guy. So, in closing, I wonder if next time I come to the Land of Greedy Smiles, if i can just stroll up here, come out, snap my finger and have a guy roll up and make sure the airport authority assures he will put me on meter price.....">

And I guess what I'm saying is that boarhog has answered that question for everyone, equipped with television-sport style photo-prompt direction. And did you guys get a load of the two fat pigs in his first photo flagging a cab? How ironic that we see two reasons of our escape from the west in that pic, haha.

However, I also want to say that, for the regular who knows the score on all things Thailand and has the fortitude to not fuck around and doesn't fear walking away from greedy yappers to go on to the next one, this does sum it up neatly as well. Both are great pieces of direction, imo.

I took notice in Petesies recent trip report that he booked 5 cab trips through Mr. T's and only the first one showed up. not very good odds or service. All the more reason to know of several options that do exist.

I've made 10+ Mr T taxi trips and everytime it has turned up.

Only on 2 occassions the taxi was a bit late and on both occassions I called the office and was reassured and put in contact with the driver.
