Good news: I just dug out my passport so I can get the VISA sorted and I found BHT8,000 in a side pocket I didn't know I had

Bad news: You New Year boys might have to share the bar with me. I arrive on 29th Dec in Bangers.

Oh dear oh dear...

Good news or the bad news...?

Good news: I got a full refund after being charged £25 cancellation fee, as I cancelled within 24hours.

Bad news: Contract cut short today, finishes end of November, as opposed to end of December - Bollocks!

:x

I still want to come, just have to start all over again and these dates are pricier than the others from what I've seen so far.

Exactly DC , I'm not going to be mean to a few bar girls just to save money and spoil the whole atmosphere . They might not want to know me next time I'm over there.

Hi Phil.

Not long now!!

I'll call u when I know you've arrived. I arrive this Friday. Just remember the sights and sounds of the comings and goings are still free. The beers u drink watching them are just a little dearer.

also, with supply and demand - the prices of the girls have got to go down if we're all taking less spending money with us!! Cant wait to meet you in Pattaya on the 9th when I get there. :D
Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten. (Natasha Beddingfield - "Unwritten")

The whole point here costassg, is just how shit the exchange rate is on the thai baht.

We all stay in decent hotels, drink the same levels of beer, and pay the same barfines etc etc etc

Sorry mate i am not a cheap charlie.i dont drink beers,i prefer chivas soda.

Yes Phil, I am definitely going to be behaving a bit more Scottish (or should I say Italian) during my forthcoming trip, unless of course the pound makes a dramatic recovery (unlikely) against the Baht. However, this time around evenings spending 2-3000 on lady drinks ain't gonna happen.

As for your comment

I'm not going to be mean to a few bar girls just to save money and spoil the whole atmosphere . They might not want to know me next time I'm over there.

Just remind yourself that these are hard nosed hookers who have not the slightest concern about your feelings or emotions, the average Thai working in P4P is about as callous an individual as you shall meet, lady drink or not.
I have two Italian friends who I often go GG mongering with in Pattaya around the gogo bars, they never ever buy lady drinks :o Whilst I could not emulate that routine, the quality of girls they take home each night is out of the top drawer.
The service providers (girls) shall not hold it against you, eventhough it goes against our generous nature.

Not everybody thinks the Thai Baht is strong, and I guess it depends from where you are looking.
This was in The Nation today:

Baht falls to 18-month low

The Thai baht Tuesday fell to an 18-month low of Bt34.9598 against the greenback, prompting the Bank of Thailand (BOT) to step into the market to curb volatility.

The baht opened at Bt34.385 to a dollar before slumping to Bt34.9598, its weakest since April 2007. It closed at Bt34.9093.

A treasury dealer said the baht depreciated in line with other currencies in the region before moving in A narrow range in the afternoon. The central bank apparently stepped into the market to stop the rapid change in the value of the currency.
So dark, the con of man..
