I remember discussing it with a soapy owner in Ratchada in BKK - and they doubled the price when a farang asked the price. Another business actually stated they had an added 30% as farang tax. hahaha
Thai's get taxi's/tuktuks/food - everything cheaper than us !!!!
But suppose its ok as its their country after all.

But it takes a strong will to make that decision and carry it thru, especially after you've been looking forward to it

It takes a maximum of 2 minutes to change money or use the ATM on the airport. Thats no hassle for me. And it doesnt make sense to change baht already in your homecountry, the exchange rates are far more worse compares to LOS.
Thats ok for you then but why would I waste time when I want to head for a taxi ASAP , I'm only talking 3800 bht here the extra cost of doing it home is not going to ruin my trip. My main worry at that time is finding a taxi .
I also changed 10 pounds that had been sitting in my drawer at home since July last year . Where should I have changed that ? I paid no fees and the rate was up for a change so I took advantage of it.
The World is my Oyster - Muwhahahahaha!!
A Ladyboy is never early , neither is she ever late . She turns up precisely when she means to.

2 houres in a whatever bar, and a short time and you are dry.
Then you have to leave all the fun, go back to your "loom" dig out your cc, and find a ATM.
Now that's a waste of time :!:
I always get 20K Bath at the airport, and that hopefully will lats the first 48 houres

I do the same when i arrive (i have to wait anyway for my luggage).
20k is enough for the first 3 days. I am a big spender in these first days after arrival!
