Now 3.48% smarter, but 14.82% less interesting.

Thanks for the report. Can anyone tell me if they have sun loungers there as I couldn't see any by the pool on their website, and I do like a couple of hours sun bathing with a good book. Will definitely consider this place as a change from the DIG for my next trip.
Cheers

From memory there were some deck chairs there (which I think is what you are referring to).
That said, I don't think the pool would get a real lot of sun, it's kind of enclosed by the surrounding taller buildings.

Yeah, I don't think their pool is a place suited for sunbathing and if I remember correctly the pool was rather small.

Their pool is quite small, though certainly big enough to get a bit of exercise, if you don't mind doing a few turns to do it. But, this pool would not get any direct sun light whatsoever, regardless of the time of day.

Yes they have the newish style room safe. Can be operated with your own 4 digit code or a credit card. Only entrance is through lobby, always a frontdesk clerk and security guy on duty. Rooms are card, not key, entry. So yes, I would say it's quite safe and secure.
If you are extraordinarily timid, you might find the walk a bit daunting. It is down Soi 2, and there is really nothing else down that end. So, after you exit from the other side of the Raj parking lot, there's no other open buildings, vendors, or hotels, till you walk the 200meters or so to the Aspen.
Never had a problem, and not too much of a walk for any self respecting LB in her heels.

Was all set to stay at the Aspen Suites for my upcoming visit.
They were even doing lots of specials like 3 nights for the price of 2 and free airport transfer.Unfortunately I left it too late to book and now they are fully booked for next weekend.Has anybody stayed at Legacy Suites on Sukhumvit Soi 29 and is it guest friendly?
I think it might be run by the same people as Aspen as the website is identical.

I stayed at Dream hotel last year and while I liked the hotel a lot and the location, the rooms were a bit on the small side for the price.

Since I'm obviously going to LOS with my straight friend I have to give up my beloved Woraburi hotel... too much interference between hotel & BTS if you know what I mean. So due to good reviews I decided to book Aspen Suites. I don't want any big luxury since I'll only be in room for a few hour a day without LB company so... is Superior room (the one with 33 m2) any good? When I was in Woraburi I took Deluxe Room and it was too much luxury for poor Eastern European peasant boy like me, same with Majestic Suites Double Deluxe room.
Price is also good I think 10-16.January for only 45 USD/night.

Hello Guys, I hate to rain on anyone's parade here, but I will give my opinion. Being a hotel owner myself, maybe I expect a little better than what I received at Aspen Suites. I booked on their website several weeks in advance to try the hotel. They were offering a buy 2, get 1 free special. I made a definite request for a non-smoking room, my reservation was accepted. When I arrived, the front desk staff was less than warm in their approach. They began a check-in process and I reminded them that I had booked a non-smoking room. I got a rather rude response that they were fully booked, and I would not get it! The lady told me that she would call other hotels to see if I could have one. I told her to wait and I took out my cell phone, and proceded to call Majestic Suites, where they had a suite for me. I told them to hold it and I would be there in a few minutes. I walked to Majestic and was welcomed as always by their friendly staff.
Something else that I didn't expect on arrival at Aspen was the abundance of young children running around the lobby area. It appeared that they cater to familys there.
Just a few words to the wise!
