I don't know Pond and I don't know Mr. X. He has asked that his name be removed from the thread, and it is in his rights to do so.
Maybe he screwed up, and maybe he did not. The bottom line is that he has chosen not to speak out so far.
I realize that most of you sympathize for Pond and took her side. I am inclined to do so as well because aparently she is hot and very sweeet, but I want to keep fair and objective.
Bottom line, we really don't know the whole story, whatever that is.

Passed by Lita's yesterday evening, offering some help if needed. This morning got a call from Pond, where she wants to thank all taking care friends for spontaneous help offered. She is not in jail.
Will meet here perhaps this afternoon to get some more details.

Another member PM'd me this morning asking me to give Pond the money - this I will gladly do as she is a good person who I see in 131 regularly.

I have one problem I do not have her phone number - can someone PM it to me and I will ensure that she either picks up Batman's generous gift or I will pay her what she needs. It will get resolved.

I can only say that ladyboys, taxi drivers and shopkeepers have been known to have been ripped off by foreigners in South East Asia. I know of ladyboys who've had their mobile phone stolen, provided services to customers and not been paid and yes, their money stolen. So, it isn't a far fetched idea.
None of us here seem to know the facts for sure and it would be wise to maintain a cool head.
But, the man in concern here, SamplerDoc doesn't appear to have given his side of the story in spite of being a member of this forum. One wonders why? :?:

my money was once stolen by LB.
i was ripped off by taxi drivers, shopkeepers and bar staff.
it is a cruel world and people take advantages whenever from naive persons.

seems to me there,s 2 types of opinions going on here.
one opinion is from people who have never met pond.
and the other from people who have.
all of us who have met and spent time with pond all love her.
she is great company and great fun .
she just wants to be liked by everyone, and is longing to be loved properly one day.
so , we are all going to believe her side first.

i think people are forgetting her age here.
she is a 20 year old kid. so maybe a bit naive,and in a position where its easy to take advantage of her nature. which samplerdoc has done.
never met the man myself, but would you rip off a 20 year old kid?
would you be proud if she had all her hair shaved off in the jail over a few quid?
we all know about the thieving yabba heads, and pond is not one of them.

our community is very small and friendly, if he,s done wrong, he could re-imburse her and apologise to everyone and it will be forgotten.

Anthony 70. If only so simple - the money issue has been resolved by the generosity of forum members. If he feels 2800 baht was his due I am sure he has spent it all - probably in one night!

Pond now has a police record which is more difficult to resolve - it is now a blight on her record. She is now branded as a trouble maker. It is hard enough surviving as a working LB with the normal prejudice exercised by the BIB but now if they "raid", round up or pick her up then she has a sheet with BIB.

A shame that the "victim" did not consider all of this prior to involving the authorities. Short sighted maybe but I cannot understand why?

I have personally lost money to a LB (theft) but in the context of relevant wealth I could afford to write off the loss and just reprimand the offender personally - she is not welcome in many LB venues now but no police involvement and no record.

Maybe next time I get an inferior meal or service I should engage the police to exercise my revenge. But, maybe not and just accept it as a lesson in life!

During first trip in Pattaya I was stolen 1000 bath by Lb.
I could go to police... and blaim her... but for what? Is it worth to get into more troubles for 1000 or whatever bath?

so I decidet not to go to police... just forget it, actually it was my fault, as I didnt watch my wallet!
