Just heard from Pond. The coward did not show up at the police station so they charged Pond 3000 baht. To clear her criminal record requires further payment - not clear on this one but TIT.

I believe the 3000 Baht will only be for return of her ID and to lift the terms of the writ.

I doubt that she can get her name removed from the police computer though this is a civil case so it should not normally be a problem to her. Though being Thailand who knows for sure.

I await with interest the comments from Mr. XXXX who is notable by his abscence apart from obviously complaining to the moderators of this forum and asking to have his name removed from the posts.

many guy ask me that many time.i never told the true i just said i borred and want to go home.after i hear some word from her[the girl i though she same my sister]that word hurt me so much.i not work at 131 because i'm borring i need to be freeland,i want to give my number to customer or friend without pay bar,i want to go out sometime fot not pay bar myself.i want to work anytime i want or go sleep anytime.maybe they don't understand what is freeland mean.or they forgot who make a lot money for bar before.

Guys - I just want to say that I have never been with Pond but find her one of the most animated LB's that I have ever met. She is funny and good company.

So the perpetrator has decided to hide and leave her with a bill - shame on him. I am really annoyed that someone can do this to a person who has given so much. Up to him. If he had showed up she would have paid 1800 Baht (for what I ask) - as he did not show (having started the situation) she paid 3000 baht.

She now as a police record. Thanks ass hole - the only LB that will go with you either has AIDS or is so high she will not care - good move!

In Thailand the average salary is 5,000 baht per month. To save you getting calculaters out = 1000 Euros, 1700 USD, 700 UKP. Many families up country live on 3000 baht per month. Sad but true.

So her fine in local terms is like a months salary.......

So Pond is happy about all the support but really does not understand the internet. Tonight she nearly cried about all the support you have given - she is so grateful to all of you.

It's not even that good. 5,000bht (the average thai wage) is £70 (UK) / $170(US) / €100

the worse thing is the police recorcd.... having any police record it is not possible to get official things like make a travel passport..

I recommend Mr. X to solve this official problem and give Pond all money back!

I have been logging on and off the site a few times today.........and could not help but notice that the main perpetrator of this wicked crime has been ever present taking in what popular opinion has had to say on the subject.
The fact that he has not bothered to explain his side of the story rather suggests to me that Pond is pretty much calling it acurately as it has unfolded.

At the moment Pond is faced with having her name flagged up by immigration every time she tries to go in or out of Thailand. Would you like this to happen to you?
