First thanks to the members who sent me her Phone number.
Here is what has happened. Pond feels she cannot take the money and has already pawned her necklace. She asks that Batman's lady take the money he generously sent.
She has asked me to thank everyone for all your support - she is proud and did not want people to think she was begging - she just wanted her story told.
I do think that this victim has played a dangerous card because all LB's are in a sisterhood and they will all know what he did. I would not want to be in is shoes in Pattaya right now.
When I spoke with Pond she was in the police station awaiting the "victim" to give him the 1800 outstanding - she had already paid 1000 yesterday.
The police hold her ID card and she has a "writ" against her (a formal paper) which means she can be put in Jail at any time until the debt is paid - a bit like the Merchant of Venice.
The police told her and the victim to be at the police station at 18.00 today.
Pond has been waiting since before 18.00 but the victim has not arrived. The police have told her she must wait until he arrives and they will not take the money from her on her behalf. She MUST wait.
A sad situation and hardly helps the reputation of Farangs.

It is truly unbelievable to me that a farang could do this to someone who has so little they sell their bodies for cash. Yes,sometimes we farang get bills padded or ripped off on paying for LT and getting ST but this is no big deal.
To poor Pond this is a major deal that could involce a criminal record. What sort of low-life does that?
I know of the farang and i hope, for his sake, he sorts out this mess, before he turns into a headline in the Pattaya Daily News.

Just heard from Pond. The coward did not show up at the police station so they charged Pond 3000 baht. To clear her criminal record requires further payment - not clear on this one but TIT.
I hope to see her later and check out all that happened but I hope SamplerDoc is feeling some guilt over all of this.
He certainly is not coming out of this without some damage to his reputation but he does seem to enjoy getting a reputation!! This is not a town nor country where you can upset people and think it is forgotten. It is not the West but the wild west!

It's great to see how you guys have rallied around Pond when she needs help. It's also great to see what you feel about her. It really says a lot about her character because a lot of the posting in this Forum have to do with warnings about LBs conning farangs and asking for money. The fact that so many of you are willing to send money, and the fact that Pond refuses to accept it, speaks volumes about you guys and for Pond. I've been in touch with Pentire from time to time and trust his judgement. Batman4ever is especially to be commended in light of what happened to him recently regarding money. For him to jump in so quickly is really heart-warming.
