This was the best costume of the night. I believe this is Haruna Ai from Japan. She came out in the ultra high wooden platform shoes can't remember what they're called but they were the inspiration for Kiss' boots. She can actually do the traditional style geisha dancing, amazing.

Chanel Madrigal (3rd place) from the Philippines was one of only 2 girls to actually sing; the other of course was also Filipino. Is it something in the water over there? Everyone from the Philippines sings, like those damn happy feet penguins.
I met a friend of hers who happened to be seated next to me. It sounds like the contestants are pretty busy doing public appearances and rehearsing for the shows so I don't think they are left with a lot of free time or energy. It would have been nice if they would have listed their itinerary on the website so those interested could try and get some face time with the contestants, though.
*THE WINNER* of the talent contest was Miss Venezuela, Gilbert Rivas who did a strange but interesting piece where she played a singing manequin being ripped apart by a passerby down to a bald armless nude suit. (no photos)
TBC
Next up The final night, the crowning of the Queen. Stay tuned.

National Costume
The girls came out in some crazy outfits. I don't know how they can afford to compete, even if they win the $10 000 US it probably doesn't cover their flight, costumes and accommodation.
Nicky agreed to accompany me to this event which made it much more interesting. I think by the end of the show she was getting kind of bored.

Actually, there was this incredible back dancer; great smile, precise moves, hot body that I couldn't take my eyes off of, I'm going back to Tiffany's soon because I have to meet her.
