Without language skills, and a fat wallet, it is often better to just fly out to Bangkok or Manila, Hong Kong or Singapore, where the flight, hotel, and a weekend of fun would cost the same as a night out in Tokyo. Even one of the girls from Newhalf Newhalf would cost US$1,500 for a 10 hour stint outside of the club, and that's the BASIC cost!

 

Unless you have a bucket list that includes specifically 'bonking a Japanese Newhalf', better to have fun with a Thai or Filipino...

I have heard of Magnet Eccentric Bar, but I have never been to it. I think one of the NHs owners that races bikes is a retired porn star? Her porn name was Mikki or Miko? I know less about the NH scene outside of Tokyo, but you are correct that most major cities have a NH bars and clubs. Osaka has a large number as does Fukuoka, but I have even found NHs snack pubs in rather small towns up North. You tend to find those hidden gems purely by luck as they seldom advertise much in smaller towns. One trick I learned was to search Japanese employment websites for NH jobs as a way to locate pubs in smaller towns, but even that is hit or miss.

I agree that having language skills is key to getting into the scene, plus having a network of Japanese friends.

I do not see why any expat should feel that taking a NH from a Deri Heru for a 10 hour stint is their only option. I do agree that the P4P scene is expensive compared to Thailand; however, you can get plenty of free NH sex in Japan if you are willing to work at it. It takes time, patience, and effort.

Going to those crowded (cozy) mixed pubs are a great way to make friends and get into the scene.

I'd love to hear more from you on this thread, as it has been largely a monologue at this point.

When you say TVs, I think you mean cross dressers? There is a whole range of CDs from super hot to the comically tragic and keeping up with the Japanese slang for each type of cross dresser is a real challenge. I think New Type is the current term for pretty or passable crosser dresser and Okama is used for the comedic or middle aged cross dresser. I always avoided using the word Okama as I didn't fully understand it's meaning in common usage. It seemed to have different connotations than what was in the dictionary, and some of them seemed derogatory. Can you shed any light on this?

I never thought to use the internet for hook ups or casual encounters in my adventures with NHs and NTs.

I was lucky to get introduced into the scene by a Phillipino NH who was my first sexual experience with a transgender. I met her at one of those fun mixed karaoke pubs and she introduced me to so many people.

If you are lucky enough to establish Japanese friends in the NH scene, it will likely take you into the gay scene at times. That sounds both obvious and confusing, but the point is, a person should be willing to mingle with the gay crowd in Japan.

When I first started out, I had no trouble with NHs but was a bit uncomfortable showing up at gay bars or gay events. After I relaxed a bit, I met a lot of cool people and made a few good friends.

I would love to hear your views and comments on this aspect of the scene in Japan.

There is a sizable Japanese expat community in South America, primarily Peru, but there are also some Japanese that settled in Brazil, they are called the Jamic Colony.

The Japanese community in Peru predates WWII and several years ago, the Peruvian President was of Japanese ancestry.

Do you remember that WWII Japanese soldier that hid in the Philippines for 30 years after WWII? After he repatriated to Japan, he eventually went to Brazil and was a cattle rancher and ran a jungle survival school for a number of years.

I would imagine that those groups of Japanese are the source of the mixed LBs; however, there could be Brazilians immigrating to Japan as well. I've never met an LB with mixed Japanese/South American ancestry, but I have seen a few Japanese/Peruvian women who are stunning. I use the term jo or josoushi - 女装子　（meaning dressed in women’s clothing). It covers the whole range from shitagijosou (下着女装) underwear wearers - guys in ladies undies through to ganzenjosou  (完全女装) CDs in compete women’s dress/ wig/ make up - The Full Monty so to speak. Sometimes it’s simply abbreviated to ‘joe’, also the name of a CD bar in Tokyo.

 

Yes, there are some little darlings out there - very passable, and often starting to take hormones, some older MILF types, and a few HPWs (Hairy Panty Wearers).

A question about Japanese censorship laws...do you feel they are ever going to change soon? I can't believe that they have such a huge porn industry and still put a pixelated mosaic on the genitals.
