 And perhaps they are going there because they dont have to pay 600-800 baht barfines, 175 baht ladydrinks and 120+ baht drink prices to have FUN

 

I am sure those drink prices will have gone up already or will do soon as the tax on alcohol has just gone up again.  One bar I was in the other night in Pattaya has added 10b to a beer as a result.  

 

As to the general pricing - possibly it has an influence but in the bigger scheme of things, most guys are quite OK to pay these prices if they are getting a product to match (i.e. good).   GB is still cheaper than NEP and always has been.     I always raise a smile at these kind of posts - when the bar opened a beer was 110 baht.   Now its probably around 120-135b - not much of an increase in 8 years when you think about it.    Barfines were 500b eight years ago - now they are 600b.    Salary levels (at least until my departure) had risen from 3,000b to base 9,000b for hostess.   Some service team were between 9,000b-14,000b basic salary.    if you do not pay those levels, you do not get the A team players.      The irony is that the rates are still in place yet the salaries are not.   Even odder is that some girls remain, but just amplifies the limited choices elsewhere for them to go and work at.

Love the fact that you can get food at the bar also in the early hours of the morning.

Few more pics from the bar that is creating waves in BKK.   A street bar is drawing customers out of regular bars with a top line up of talent & cheap prices.   Simple formula's are often the best.   Beers remain (for now) at 100b each and barfine is 300b - its more like Pattaya prices and approx: 30-50% below many other LB bars in Bangkok.

This place looks great!!! Thanks for the steady stream of decent photos Mardhi.  I love the Sukhumvit area, it's like a circus at night. I remember a rodent on steroids rendezvousing with my right boot in the middle of a zebra crossing near this place.  The best night I ever had in BKK was at a street bar, the Alfresco theme is much more lively and fun than a regular bar, and these girls look tremendous. I'm certainly going to be spending a few evenings (and baht) here after Chrimbo.  

 

If there are a couple of GG's in attendance, anyone managed a combo from here (with proper participation from all parties!), any recommendations?

Wish I'd read that before being fed some BS (by another LB) about Gow being available and encouraged to buy a drink for her.

Check In Bar has opened its 2nd inside bar located just tucked into Soi 5.    The inside bar is more like a tiny bar beer and opens from 3pm onwards and closes around 3am depending upon customers.  The outside Alco cart located directly on Sukhumvit Rd opens at 11pm and closes at 6am, so between the 2 you have 15 hours of fun.

Despite having the lowest prices in Bangkok, the primary attraction is the talent pool - lots of girls and top tier with it.  Beers remain at 100b each and the barfine is just 300b at least half the other venues in the Sukhumvit Road area.
