Famous Bar - CLOSED

Famous Bar is an intimate bar located on Soi VC less than 10 minutes from Walking Street. Old hands on the Pattaya scene may recall Easy Bar (and Lita Bar before that); the same folks that ran that notorious – and we mean that in a good way – bar now operate Famous.




The bar occupies two levels, with an enclosed bar downstairs and a large open-air deck upstairs, along with an air-conditioned room for billiards (and well-appointed short-time rooms). The lovely Lita (and sometimes Mr Karl himself) is almost always on hand to greet new guests and serve up a cold one (or five).

What many people like about Famous Bar – aside from the ladyboys, a lovely group of friendly young girls who tend to be less silicone-enhanced than in other bars – are the tunes. Walk into most bars in Pattaya, and you'll hear Thai pop music, K-pop, or some variation of dance music. Walk into Famous and it's not uncommon to find classic rock, hard rock and even old-school heavy metal – think AC/DC. Combine this with Famous Bar's parties, which tend to be epic and often, with great food – and it's easy to see why this bar is a favorite among both expats and guys on holiday both. When things are rockin' a lock-in is usually in order. But be warned: Partying here can go well on in to the early hours!
