As far as the original topic, I feel like girls come and go but you're always going to be dealing with the same bar owners, so they would get the hypothetical 300 baht. As you said, some of them own multiple bars, sometimes more than one at a time. why cause trouble?

this subject is a discussion for people who DO, or MAY, want to take a girl on holiday with them for a few weeks.

from what ive seen, its mostly the alcoholic owners that are actually present in the bars anyway. access to a cheap supply and all that.
all the rest have got bored, and left a fat mamasan in place who thinks she is important, and a cashier that cant add up three beers on a calculator without fucking it up.

so again, if this topic of long term fines is not relevant to yourself, just keep out of it.

Phuket posse ronning to Jim's defence- where? if you could be arsed to go and read back the examples I used of long term bar fines were PATTAYA bars- as far as I'm aware Jim doesn't have an establishment up there- you are starting to make this seem like a personal crusade. The whole issue raised its head because a bar in phuket DOESN'T have a long term barfine policy at the moment.

its clear by your last remarks that you should follow your own words. You don't pay long term bar fines so its not relevant to YOU. kind of makes the last 10 pages moot.

When I look at your question from a bar-girl pov I think:

The bar girl is affiliated to, well, a bar, right? The bar-girl agrees with the bar that there is barfine for taking her out of the bar. No? A customer takes out the girl by paying a barfine for good times. So three parties involved right? Bar, bar-girl, customer. Not two, right? Stay with me.

The bar-girls affiliation to a bar is a mutual beneficial relationship, right? And you just can't pause that agreement, right, to the benefit of solely one party? Well, two. As the customer in this case saves money. Now explain to me what is the differene between not paying a barfine for 1 day or 10 days, bearing in mind the affiliation, hence barfine, of the bar-girl to the bar.

I dont get how anyone could ever argue for anything other than a YES objectively looking at the three parties involved: bar, girl, customer. Looking at it simply from a customer pov, sure, nice, no bar fine, more budget for customer. But that is kind of egotistical in the context of the game, no?

But maybe you're taking a bar-girl's pov. But the bar-girl can't just simply decide at her own leisure when to jump in, jump out of that agreement, right? The bar-girl knows the game, she should play by the rules, or get the !@#$ out, no?

In essence what all of those voting NO are creating is a Lose-Win-Win situation, rather then Win-Win-Win. The bar loses, while you and the girl win. For whatever reason. Hmmm.

Absolutely, it's also upto May and her customer(s) as to how they wish to run their lives too.

Admittedly, May's once farm-fresh rectal-snap is just a distant memory, but she'll do well wherever she goes, at least for a few more years.
