It's about 3 pm now, we are nicely full, so time to walk off the excess. I fancy walking out along Beach rd for a bit and then making our way back towards Jomtien. The four of us set off, but as we are about 8 minutes into the walk, someone suggests going for a drink, walk terminated it seems. We decide to go and see how Bar54 Soi7/1/ Soi Whitehouse is at this time of the day. There are a few girls hanging around, and there are 4 tables out front, 2 sets of 2, but unfortunately there is one solitary customer at each. Two guys hogging 4 tables, we cannot be arsed arranging new seating so we head to Sallys instead.
I always find it interesting to check out a bar before it is really gets going, Sally's is laid back at the best of times, but in the balmy late afternoon heat is is positively asleep. The girls are just slouching around, grazing as the need arises. There are two Germans guys, Seran1979 and Ladyboyfan78 there from LBP, playing pool, whom I met on Monday night in La Bamba, and told them about Sally's. It is their first time in Pattaya, and they are taking to it like ducks to water. Their eagerness to embrace the scene is quite impressive. Introductions out of the way, time to kick back and start the cold ones, rather early in the day by my standards.
The two boys are on their last night in Pattaya, a short week, pure torture and are anxious to check out Famous before they leave. I scribble down a small map for them and tell them how to get back to Patts for 10 Baht each, rather than take a baht bus taxi for 150 Baht like they had coming over to Jomtien. The two gents eventually head off with their sacred map and we chill until about 6pm.

We pull two tables together on the terrace and ask the girls can we see the menu Lita keeps somewhere behind the bar. Some of the girls come up and float around, including Lilly, Pinkie, Amy and surprise surprise, May who is back on staff. Dave26 takes an instant shine to her, and before we have time to order any food, he has already disappeared for some dessert. The girls bring us up some drinks, and the food arrives shortly after.
I have hardly finished my food when I hear "Bumblebee, you are here" it is Seran1979 and he thanks me for the map I jotted down for him in Sally's, and tells me it was very helpful and he managed to find Famous on his first attempt, which is quite an accomplishment as some of you well know for a new guy in town. Who does he have on his arm only Rose, another old favourite of some FMs who like May is back in the bar, things are looking up. Anyway the night drifts by, Dav26 appears and disappears between the pool room and the short time room, Azza leaves after a couple of drinks. Time flies and before we know it it's pushing on towards 3 am, time to head towards WS and see what we may find.

What you see is what's there Vandal and they are all really nice. The girls there are hassle free, much prefer that over a pushy, in your face, buy me ladydrink "hottie".enjoying it BB, but are there any decent lookers in sally's bar, or hopefully is it the case, that they are better looking in person??

Nah to be honest the short trip was just enough for me this time, saw all the faces and places I wanted to see, except the elusive "cutie" whose mysterious absence and whereabouts is finally solved on my last night.Thanks for the excellent pics BB..which are doing a damn good job of making me homesick...

NW and I take the route by the Middle Eastern area to Walking which takes us by the now defunct Playboy bar, as this will give us a good sweep of WS and "cutie" is still on my mind, hopefully tonight I'll spot her. I want to meet her casually and not make it look like I am tracking her down, so calling her will be my last resort when all is lost and I am heading home. Anyway fate has decided that tonight we will get delayed on our way to WS.
AS we pass Playboy I glance over at the now deserted bar where many a guy has met his "destiny" but where is she now I wonder. The wondering did not last long, for all of a sudden my name is called, and there is Tara in the bar next to Playboy. Who should be with her, but the one and only Emily oh and yeah some chick called Pookie.
Well I suggest to NW does he fancy having a liquid break and get some refreshments inside us to tide us over until we are on our way to WS. He is never one to argue over such a serious issue and so we perch ourselves up at the bar and I do the introductions. The girls tell me they are happy to see me back after such a long time, pak wan, and other niceties. NW goes to spend 5 Baht and while he is away Tara turns to me and says" You friend is very nice guy, where did you find it?" you gotta laugh. Tara and Emily are eager to get their photos taken, Tara knows the value of publicity. Alas bad news gents, Pookie has a new camera shy policy and so no images of the one and only, doesn't someone have copyright on that expression? Anyway Pookie says she is taking a break from the bar scene, while we chat at... the bar, and that when she finally comes back she plans to have a new hair style and a real tanned body, time will tell.
I look at my watch and can make out it's now about 3.30 am, man I realise I have been drinking constantly now for 12 hours, since we arrived in Sally's in mid afternoon. Like my vision, the rest of the night is a bit of a blur from this point on. What I do remember is ringing "cutie" and finally getting an answer. The girl on the other end claims to be her friend, that "cutie" is home and gave her her mobile. In my tipsy state I have no way of knowing if it actually is "cutie" herself or not, mai pen rai.
