Why not see how you get on in Patong for a few days. If it disappoints you in any way, you can always decamp to The Other Place.
There's plenty of hot little ggs around if you want to switch sides.
Barfine is 400Bt , everything else is between you and your "chosen one".
The weather is very unpredictable at this time of year. We've been blessed with wall to wall sunshine for the last couple of weeks. But who knows about tomorrow. Who cares? It's paradise!

Walt, I concur with Jimbo. For a place to stay look on the thread for Phuket. The summer Breeze, Baipho, C&N, expat are all guest friendly and can arrange for pickup at the airport. Just stop by C&D and be prepared to be in Paradise. PM if you need any help.

"CheapRooms" Phuket. It's down the same Soi as C&N so it's got quick access to Cocktails and Dreams
