These are NOT Juri's pictures and they are at least one month old  - so what is the word on the real staff Juri and why are you pimping for Noon some old pic's?   i did think better of you but I guess its just life.     

 

The giveaway is that the #1 girl in this pic is Bee - she does not work in Guess bar for at least one month and now the pool table is moved for 4 weeks already.

She is NOT in Ubon Thani - as no such place exists - nor is she in Udon Thani or Ubon Ratachani.  She is in Laos.

.. does anyone know if the ST room/barfine rates have changed and if they have what are they now, just curious to find out what the new increase might be as I will be there in Oct..  I may not even bother to check it out but I might just to report what has changed since mardhi is no longer updating the situation there, and who knows what gem might be working there then so I will dutifully report my findings on my way to Temptations.. it may not even be open by the time i get there anyway..

Some may think I am a touch sensative about this subject and your absolutely right.   I do have a problem with blatent theft and I make no appologies for it.  

 

This whole Noon butter does not melt stuff is pure rubbish.    This is nothing more than seeing a strong business and deciding to grab it.   There is no Mardhi was knocking birds off on the side - that is just a convenient excuse.  I doubt Noon is even in control anymore - her family are running the show and laughing their heads off at how easy it all was to grab a business that was worth more than 5,000,000 baht and remove cash that ensured the down payment for a pick up truck was not a problem.    The fact that staff went unpaid is not our concern clearly.       What I do know is a number of forum guys invested in this bar to save it from closure.   We turned it around its been grabbed - its that simple.   We knew the risks and accepted it.   However it does not mean any of us are happy with this outcome and frankly nor are many customers.   Many have just crossed it off the list of bars to visit.   

When all said & done, the real shareholders are the losers in this and the sums are substantial - I had to sell a house due to complications from what this family has done and yes I am angry.   I am angry because a) I did not see it coming and b) because they are laughing in our faces as some guys continue supporting it.    This alone speaks volumes about the oddity's of this game.  To keep it in perspective - its a warped game when the new supposed owner has to go with customers to get some money, despite owning a bar that used to nett profit between 200-300,000b each & every month.

 

All the shareholders are realists and in business disputes happen.  All that needed to occur was for those folk to be compensated for their stakes.   Not one cent has been forthcoming - as I say, they are just laughing in our (collective) faces and even more so that guys are continuing to pay 400b for a ST room that is never cleaned, 600b barfines for girls who get no salary and 150b for a beer with little to no eye candy in the bar.   As I say,  its truly amazing what suckers we all are at times.

And by the way, the ST rooms upstairs SUCKED Long ago, way before all this nonsense took place.

Last time I went there, it took MOO 20 minutes to clean the room we were going to do the deed in.

She was Ashamed of this, and I was Pissed off at the "Management" for not giving a S@#$

So this being said, I still go there, but I do not consume ST rooms

Regardless of who currently operates or owns the bar it's been almost 3 months since a Guess Bar update and although I personally don't linger much in Bangkok it's bound to be of interest to many who do, so thanks again.

Agreed - it was a cheap shot and I appologise.       I hope you can understand, that with such a situation, Many of us, want to leave things to take their natural course.  if they wish to join and post pictures - that is entirely their call. The fact that they have not really should be left up to them.    My biggest surprise was that you would even agree to post it - knowing how much of an issue this is with forum members and that we have met on countless ocassions going back many years.     They only need to look at themselves to see why the bar is deathly quiet.    Personally I am sad on the one hand that this is happening - none of it needed to and the bar would continue to be a strong successful operation.   However greed got in the way and everybody has lost out, save for one person.      The correct course is to let it make its own outcome, be it good or bad.    I hardly comment on GB threads any longer but it does not mean i have forgotten the losses I incurred and the huge agrivation it caused me personally and financially - not from GB revenue share but many other things that are not related and are of a more personal nature in my relationship with Noon.
