Thanks for the update Mardhi, sad news indeed.

Knowing Guess bar was in a pair of steady hands was part of the attraction for many patrons.

I am no longer connected with this bar in any way and it now has a totally Thai ownership/management operation focused on Thai ways of working. There will no longer be photo updates and its fair to say their is a fair amount of anger & confusion among the staff and a number have left for other places already.

I am not sure how the bar will alter in the future, if at all - however guys on the ground feel free to report it as you see it.

good luck Mardhi sorry to here that, Guess bar has always been one of my favourite lb bars in bkk.

i have just returned from hau hin and catching up on forum news. i was a about to head down to check out on friday night not sure now with this latest news. i will probably head to cascade instead.

I feel sorry for the staff they were always friendly and fun to spend time with.

i will try and find out the latest gossip and update the forum.

Sad news mardhi. Your posts made me curious about Guesss and I was thinking of making a 3 day detour to BKK on my way back from Phuket, but now I don't know.

Sorry to hear that
Guess has always been on my Places to stop in whilst in BKK.
Was a convenient place in the PM, and or a gathering place to plan evenings.

Can't help now reading the news on Both Anaconda and Guess happening on the sme date that there is something Cooking in a Pot we do not know about.
Call it little Suspicious Me or Old Asi Hand sniffing something...
Not sure what, but Two in a Row, same date, 2 different places!!!
Anyhow, water under the brdges now.
Will miss Guess personally, as it was a Pilgrimage everytime I was in BKK. Anaconda, never had the chance.

As this is truly sad news, can someone be a mate and let me know if Moo is still around. In all my travels, she has been the only one that has been able to pop close to the number of times in a given night as I can.

Moo, Nan, Gate & now Dear have all left within last couple weeks.

The few girls there are mostly new or girls with less than 6 months working in the bar. While the number of girls is considerably down, its probably still enough as customer numbers have dropped by the same ratio

Lots of changes and people are making their own choices, be it staff or customers. Some like it, some don't. However one thing has changed for sure is the foreign involvement. Now its a totally Thai joint. Take it or leave it seems to be the service orientation......
