Before I retired, I was a big "Heroes" fan. And then without completing the series, they just cancelled it. WTF?!? And now I'm in Thailand and Scyfy is playing it. Why would they show a series they know has no ending? (Yeah, I know, money).
I was really into Heroes up until the 2nd season and then they screwed it up.
There was a writers strike at the time and all of a sudden they had to cut the 2nd season from 24 to 11 episodes. Seeing as Heroes depends on a mass of sub plots, all of a sudden sub plots seemed to end, some without explainations, and in general conclusions and cathasis was lame., Such a shame. I haven't watched an episode since.
I'm probably also one of the few who watch Flashforward and Studio 60 on the Sunset strip. Both of which didn't get a second series. OK maybe Studio 60 wasn't that much of a tragedy, but Flashforward started up so many stories and cliff hangers which were to be carried into the second series- after investing hours and hours into it and all of a sudden it's gone without closure, well, thanks an f'ing bunch ABC.

ah man, don't get me started on American Sci-fi shows that got binned after one season.
I watched all of Flashforward, got left on a cliffhanger....cancelled.
Not to be put off I invested the hours in The Event, got left on a cliffhanger...cancelled.
Just as well I didn't bother with V....
Over the summer I finally finished The Sopranos, I'm a big fan of most HBO stuff - The Wire, True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Game of Thrones as well.
Last year 2 of my favourites came to an end, 24 and LOST. I seem to recall Heroes "limped" to some kind of conclusion last year as well (and then cancelled!)

I've heard very good things about the wire, I've just been reading through some of Charlie Brooker's writings, he's a tough cynical bastard but highly praises the wire as being the greatest TV series made.
Still gutted about Flashforward.
yes, Charlie Brooker even did a show for UK TV about The Wire to help it gain UK fans before the BBC finally picked it up a couple of years ago.

Hust started watching This is England 86 It's a follow on from the 2006 movie This is England, it's one of those gritty, dirty, funny things that only the Brits seem to get just right.
Great stuff
I enjoyed the movie but couldn't quite get into the TV series. It was airing last Summer whilst I was in the UK.
It didn't help that Mexico 86 was playing as the backdrop, I just couldn't go through the whole hand of god thing again.. so sad..

As always, the first series was better than the second though.
I'm not really into cookery shows, although I do like that tasty black bird, former model (Lorraine Pascale) doing her's on Monday evenings BBC2 at the moment

The new series of Curb just started on a Sunday night over here too. Required viewing. Larry David is such a superb writer.
The Wire is the best show I have ever seen though. I just wish I didnt watch it all so fast
Kliome - I cant believe you like Glee

It´s predecessor, Homicide: Life on the street , by same author David Simon is even better.
Breaking bad, Six feet under, Sopranos and Dexter are my favorites in drama.
The office, Extras, An idiot abroad by Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant for comedy.
The american The Office is ok, but as always , the original is better.
Will Ferrell was a possible replacement , i heard.Michael Scott has left
It´s the current best show, they are in the end of season 4.Someone also gave Breaking Bad a shout out, I've pencilled that in as my next.
For simple low comedy, which i love, "Eastbound and down".
Will Ferrell and his weird friends. Very very funny.

Will Ferrell was in the office as Michael Scotts replacement towards the end of season 7. He did a good job, but he only guest starred for 3 episodes then left.
James Spader and Ed Helms are taking over. Spader is playing the CEO and Helms (from The Hangover) is stepping up to take the branch manager job. I think it will work.
Anyone who wants to knock Glee (or the Glee Project), just doesn't get it. You're either a Gleek or your not. ![]()

Everyone I know who likes Glee is either female or is the sort of guy that likes shagging men ;-)
severe lack of British TV shows in my recent viewing habits. I did enjoy BBCs recent Sherlock Holmes and Ashes to Ashes but theres been a severe lack of quality british shows, they've been too busy knocking out the usual saturday night gubbins like Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, Britains Got Talent, Only Way Is Essex....the sort of stuff Gleeks like to watch ![]()
