Do you really monitor these guys activity on another site? They have both posted here, and have responded to the welcome they recieved. I don't think they need to be pressured by anyone including you to contribute. They are free to post at their own discretion. They don't get it held against them by you holding the VIP carrot in front of them to post on your pay forum. Couldn't you spend your time more wisely than worrying about what everyone else is doing? I would suggest looking for all those lost threads when you went to a pay forum.

I do? You better check you records pal. You will find that I haven't logged on in two weeks. Which is just about the same time you removed my VIP status and dropped my post count from over 3000 to 25 posts. Not mention changing the avatar and moniker you put on when you raided my account.

Straw-man opposition leader? May I remind you of your first post on this topic when I made the same valid points I have throughout?

DC-Must admit that's a good point.

Retrospectively, previously posted trip reports held within the 'new' VIP area at TLF should be deleted upon request should the original poster wish it so, to do otherwise would be using a person's posts for monetary gain without their permission and may have legal consequences associated. Also, it would be a fucking appalling way to operate a business.


To answer the opening question...
Re: TLF; no I wouldn't pay. Not when the vast majority of TRs and picture threads and reports are duplicated on free forums elsewhere, i.e. here at LB-69. The only difference over there is that they would likely be littered with comments from the jaded crowd.

I had an issue with the method, not the man.

I still think it is unfair not to remove original posters TR's that were created before the advent of the paid-for sections, but sometimes one has to look at how one goes about requesting such a removal and the approach which was used.

If Stogie subsequently chooses to "comp" me a pass then why would I deny myself or further continue the complaint? - Items gratis and greased palms have defined business for millennia.

To clarify, notice that I commented after one of BH's rants....seeing him get in the face of anyone that disagrees with him is getting very tiresome. Pull your head out and deal with it. (and don't bother sending me another pm )
