It's true, like I said, I haven't seen half the things Pattaya has to offer, but please do remember this was my first stay here, and for not very long neither.

Comments such as "Behind Closed Doors" were based on the venues, and experiences I had on this particular trip, and I have no doubt that there are many more venues out there that contradict me.

We'll see some more on the next trip for sure. ;-)

And xyzzy - no crap from the Patts girls. Just them ringing and texting me to tell me they love me.

Very good final summation FB and appreciate your honesty.

Much of what you say about Pattaya holds water. But the distance between the numerous venues and the sheer diversity and options are all plus points. As you rack up future visits further appreciation of these factors will develop.

Yes, the word 'hated' was probably OTT on my part.

My first trip way back when all I knew of was JSB, Linda's Bar, Beach Road and Limmatquai, so you can imagine the first impression I got :o

The guys now have the benefit of info on boards such as this, in the old days it was all by ear and by hoof.

Now I can't get enough of the place and I think FB's candid account of his first impression will give others who've not yet been good food for thought.

Great report Fatboy - probably one of the most anticipated visions of Pattaya, and well delivered.

I agree with you that having some mates there make the trip. I wasn't sure what Pattaya would hold for me on the first trip as I was traveling alone. I PM'd Petesie who turned out to be staying in the room next door. He showed me the ropes and I had a bangup time...though it was tough keeping up with him I then got to meet a few other great friends and board members along the way. To me, that is part of what makes Pattaya and this forum so great.

I think this will be the first trip they all depart before me, will have to see how those days solo can compare to those shared with friends.

Thats harsh sounds rude, I had a great time there but the only people I introduced myself to were the girls, so I cant comment on the owner. What I would say is this shows why I wouldnt approach most owners in this way as they can start to get a big head, or the owner here Karl may have been having a bad day, either way common manners is expected but hey we are from England so our prespective on mannors are very different to the rest of the world, is the owner american by any chance?

Unfortunately you've no idea what went on before you got there (nor do I) so all I can comment on is that I personnally have always had a fine evening there.............c'est la vie

had a great couple of nights in EZY bar and found Karl to be a good, laidback host, i even got to choose a couple of songs from his huge database

i will def. go back there, probably my favourite spot last trip (which was also my first). The place starts up slow but once the girls are there and ladydrinks are bought you can have a great little partay there

Definitely no insult meaning to anyone but... Karl is very special person we regulars in Ezy like and if anyone thinks he will be polite and witty host who will greet you on entrance and talk to you and show you Pattaya and... to cut things short - be like Jim from C&D; forget it ... He sits behind his computer talks to friends and does what he likes well it’s his bar anyway so he has any rights to do this.

But I personally think he has the best bar in Pattaya (again no insult meaning to others) due to combination of pretty Ezy angels (and X-tra angel ), nice atmosphere, great music, presence of Lita, Karl’s personality… well everything.
