Had a real fun night with the australian contingent, Megatic, triat, and another. All real fun guys.

Go Aussies! Can't believe they left Ae alone. That picture of her says it all.

but our Emma is well educated and well read, so i'm sure she knows something of the connotations for us westerners.

Thats what makes so puzzling. Imagine the Jewish monger who takes then gets her in the bedroom only to find that. Most westerners would be a little shocked seeing that.

Was talking with her last night .. after my shock .. and I expressed some concern to her about how some customers may react. She does seem to understand the possible reaction, but doesn't really understand how severely many will react.
As she said "Tattoo on me, not me on tattoo", or along the lines of - in Aussie vernacular - "it's just a bloody tatt, doesn't mean it defines me".

And, apart from responding on Emma ...

We did have a bloody great night.
Megatic and I got some serious pool happening, and then had a hoot playing doubles with Paeng and Nong.

As Megatic and others have said - it's the atmoshpere and the friendliness of all staff that make C&Ds such a great place to base yourself.

I too was surpised that Megatic walked away empty handed from the bar ... but it had obviously been a big "last night".

Great update Triat. Its good to have a man on the spot giving us the low down. Tell Emma bm's are working on a new design to cover that up.

How do you end up empty handed :?:

I tried this on my last trip and failed miserably. I got into Phuket around around 10 P.M. from Australia, so I was just going to have a couple beers and then come back have a good nights sleep. I ended up barfining Pat and Bombay.

So much for that.

Bad BAD choice Emma.............

Alot of us have "Naff Tatts" - Christ, I got the Thai word for Mum on my arm (please, don't joke or mock - I know it's shit) but a swastika?

If she adds the 4 dot's to make it the Hindu sign for peace, then fair enough, not bad. But as it stands, she may have some issues, with Jewish, German, and English punters, let alone everyone else involved in WW2, severely cutting her potential customers.

Looks like someone may be hanging around the bar a tad more than normal......

Sorry boys, its true! Here it is. Big mistake IMO, but hey she's young and sometimes stupid same as all of us ( ok, many years ago in my case!). If this had appeared on anybody else i would have credited them with wanting a Hindu symbol, but our Emma is well educated and well read, so i'm sure she knows something of the connotations for us westerners.

Look on the bright side Jimbo, you should get an influx of older German patronizing the bar
