"There was a call yesterday (February 21, 2009) for the baht to be devalued in line with falls in the euro and sterling, in order to shore up exports."

Now that would certainly help exports, tourism and whore-mongers...

Please make it so.

Those using Nationwide ATM cards who have previously benefited from transaction free fees overseas will now have to pay.

"Nationwide Building Society has scrapped the promise of fee-free foreign transactions on its debit and credit cards."

Unfortunately with the present economic problems, I am sure they decided it was time to fall in line with the other banks to try and increase their revenues.

It is too bad they've stopped, for those UK account holders it was a great way to obtain foreign cash with minimal hassles and fees.

Things have been picking up since I posted this . The NZ$ is almost back to 20 which is what I got in November . I've also seen some very good halfprice Air tickets available till June . :D Looks like I may be coming back for some much needed fun LOS style.

oz$ is at 23.98 according to siam exchange, it's only going to get better with upcoming stimulus plans to be implemented.

I have been thinking about my upcoming stimulus payment not in terms of $$'s, but roughly how many ST's it gets me.
Now 3.48% smarter, but 14.82% less interesting.

Do excuse me, but last week I violently broke wind a couple of times and the baht fell by around one Baht to the pound.

Yesterday I refrained from releasing any gas at all and the baht rose by a few satang.

The plan now is to clench my buttocks for a few months and refrain from cutting the cheese, naturally I'll be monitoring the exchange rates accordingly.
