i still remember only 3 months ago when it was 0.98

Weren't they the good old days !

I was living it up at the LK Renaissance and ringing the bell at La Bamba.

Seems like only yesterday.....

Remind me to pack the cockroach repellant for my next stay at the Jasmine Hotel. :lol:

Assume you spend 5000 Baht a day (about 100 UKP) - Hotel, Drinks, Dining, LB's

If the UKP rate drops 10%, from 50 to 45, then you just spend 4500 per day - cut back on drinks (aim for Happy Hours), downgrade hotel from 1500 to 1000, take a LB every other day or, if you like her, negotiate a 3 day deal.

It is your holiday and you worked for it. How much would you spend sitting at home anyway?

dosen't work for me unless i have 7000 baht a day , after paying hotel. i do not want to go on holiday scrimping and saving, rather than go for 3 weeks i would just cut back and go for 2weeks, with 5000/4500 a day would be cutting it very fine indeed.

you can easily live on 4500bht a day ive done it not hard to do it just do a 3 day deal with the lb works out cheaper in the long run find one u like and stick to her and stay in cheaper hotles that suit u budget my last trip i spent £130 a day was more than enough to still enjoy u self that was back in july/08 and the exchange rate then was 64bht-1£

usually i spend 7000 aday, which would be about 110 a day, now with the shity rate it would cost me 140 a day to maintain the 7000 mark, and if you add up 30 over 21 days, 630 that is the cost of my next flight, so i will have to cut myself down from 3 weeks to 2. its ok people saying "you can survive on 4500 aday" bollocks, you go on holiday where ever it is to feel like money does not matter, so to go on holiday and scrimp and save, "oh, i spent 5000 today, so the next day i can only spend 4000."i would rather stay at home, or cut back time spent away on holiday, any way i have used my holidays this year, so when i come back april may time i hopr the rate has sorted it self out
