I'm really thinking about it, but still searching for a sub $3K USD airfare. I expect to find something at some point, but not as of yet. Trying to do Dec 20-Jan2 (as our good friend Ronan, has already booked those dates).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and the first fare that is $1500 or less, I'm in!!

Where you flying out of Auto? I noticed EVA had flights @~1500 flying out of SFO and LAX around those dates. But if your connecting that would probably put you back up over 2K. It's for their economy class not deluxe.

I'll either be flying out of DTW (Detroit) or SFO. I didn't see the EVA flights from SFO, so if they're still available, I'll likely book one and leave from my west coast home.

I woke up with a 101 fever, sore throat and feeling generally like shit. This was no hangover, and felt like strep throat. I stayed in bed all morning and went out to the pharmacy for me and got some Zithromax and Tylenol.

What caught my attention is this bad disease.
We are fellow-sufferers
I have the same symptoms every time i come in Thailand, but in different period of vacation.
The same condition - sore throat, feeling like shit, fever, weakness, lack of energy.
This time i had such condition almost the whole week.
It is difficult to cure throat since in LoS everything is cold. Beer is cold, water is cold, juice is cold, everything is from a fridge.
And everywhere, in bars, hotels there are air-conditioners.
How did you cure ur malady ?

To stop drinking cold is not that difficult.
Change to vodka and juice with no ice. Get the botteld water out of the fridge, or when you order it ask for no ice. It get warm prety quicke.
Also Zithromax helps if you have cought it from muff diving or cock sucking.
Those things works for me, and yes I try to not have the aircon on and use the fan instead. Or at the lowest level if ther is not a fan to use.

Kinkoy covered much of it, but I did exactly the following:

As soon as symptoms appeared (at least sore throat, fever and general weakness): I started with a 250Mg Zpack (Zithromax), and Tylenol every 4 hours (feel free to substitute Tylenol with codine, if you need extra sleep, just make sure your stomach isn't bothered by the codine).

Drink LOTS of bottled water (room temp). I would by the 5 liter jugs and consume 8 oz everytime I got out of bed.

Turn off the AC and only go with the fan.

Gargle with warm salt water every 4-6 hours to get any crap out of the throat.

Eat light (clear soup is best).

GET LOTS OF SLEEP and take one day (minimum off) but two is likely better.

I did all the above and was good as new 48 hours later. Now, remember if you're taking the Zithromax, no booze, as it reduces the overall effectivity of the drug (and you take it for 5 days). I don't think I stopped drinking all 5 days, but certainly did for the first 3.

This has worked for me like a charm on my last two visits, but your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the nice comments on the report. Unfortunately, those particular evening glasses met with an ugly demise on the back of a LB's motorbike on third road (they really hate it when glasses get tangled in their hair, and they pull forward, and the glasses come off and fly into oncoming traffic). It took me days to find suitable replacements!!

Yes Patrick, it is true. Karl DOES occasionally leave his seat at the corner of the bar, but only for a moment or two. Capturing the moment on film is like a wildlife photographer on the Serengeti waitng to spot a rare animal at a kill!! Sometimes it never comes, and is almost always a product of "right place, right time."

Day 11


Kwang and I got up around 9am and went out for breakfast and coffee. I was feeling much better by now so we wandered around and did some shopping and finally ended up at the beach.

Nothing like some quality beach time to unwind and clear the head. We had a few hours of rest and relaxation on the beach before the rains came. We quickly made our way home and looked at a movie, when Kwang made it clear she was horny. We hit the sheets and both were spent afterwards! That little Kwang is a total sex bomb and does all sorts of collateral damage, in a good way of course.

Kwang took off about 4pm, and I was just getting ready to go out and get some food, when Chris called and was eating around the corner with Sombat and asked if I wanted to join them. We met, had some grub and then went over to New Orn Bar to meet a couple of new guys from another forum (Big Dave and Azza33).

We all made our way over to Soi Six and first stop was Hi Boss. I walked in and immediately saw exactly what I wanted in the lovely Linda. This LB was HOT, in all black (latex skirt), beaded corset and the tightest pushup bra, I’ve ever seen.

She’s an ex-Tiffany girl (and showed me the DVD video that featured her in the show), very dark skinned, with a Bettie Page hairdo, and pure sex on legs. All the other guys were occupied (Azza had already gone ST upstairs) and the other two were considering their options. The other guys made their way to a few other bars, and I told them I’d catch up in a few hours.I was happily playing little games with Linda and decided to take her upstairs.

The action upstairs was hot and heavy, and this LB is built there were no surprises when that bra came off. Linda has a huge rack, tiny waist and medium equipment below. This was one case where the packaging (love the hot way she dressed) didn’t overshadow the actual product. We wore each other out for a couple of hours and I actually thought about just taking her out for the evening, but figured I’d keep that option for another night. Besides, I wanted to chill with the guys for a while and keep my options open.

I finally caught up with the boys at Ezy Bar and hung out for a few hours, drank mass quantities of vodka until I opted that it was simply time to go home and sleep

Great report Auto. Kwang is a real sweetie. Spent some time with her on a previous visit and did the bowling and Royal Garden thing as well. I think I scared her when my first roll of the ball was a strike, but she kicked my butt every game but one. Looking foward to the rest of your report. Looks like you had a great time.

Despite plenty of my own adventures, I don't think there is anything on this forum that gives me as much enjoyment as a well put together trip report.

This is great stuff Auto, thoroughly enjoyable.

Its also interesting to see some of the LB's I know 'captured' in a different light.
