La Bamba & Stringfellows on soi 13 by cutting through the Avenue Shopping Center & New Orn Bar on Soi Diana Inn by cutting thru from PBR alongside Areca Lodge between two building sites (new hotels?).
The rest is a bus or bike, maybe Pook Swan House on Soi Buakhoa at a stretch (for you), I like walking. And of course after hours fun on Beach Road with use of the PS Hotel soi 13.

The location was very near The Avenue and just a short walk to Stringfellows and then La Bamba, walking street another 10 mins or so, but time goes fast when you looking at whats on offer
I booked a taxi from Bangkok airport which was dead on time and a drive straight to the hotel for 1200 baht, well worth it!
Wifi works very well, for the record they have wifi on every floor and you can even get it by the pool on the roof, which is great if like me you require internet whilst on holiday, roughly 2 megs broadband speed.
Breakfast was good, this was included. Pool a little small but then I didn't spend much time there anyhow.
I had a deluxe room and the size is very good, although as I now know most time is spent in bed, so probably would go for standard room next time, also a walk in shower would be nice.
Also just to clear this up, there is no charge for second guest as based on two guests and one night I took 2 girls back and they didn't charge then either, although on their site it does say joiners fee for more than 1 guest.

I stayed there recently and have no complaints. It was clean, safe and friendly. I used one of the Presidential Suites on the top floor which was spacious with a fast wifi connection. Only minor problem was that I had to wait for 15 minutes after the lock broke – usually not a problem except I had Ice (La Bamba) with me wearing a short skirt and looking far more embarrassed than me!

Even with the pound completely f***ed I worked out that it’s far cheaper staying in the PBR than it is renting in London – and you even get the room cleaned.
Agreed at todays rates 14 nights in PBR inc the 2 FOC is £242.00 which is £17.28 per day

Compared to £9.00 a day on a monthly rental at somewhere like the R-Con on Soi Buakhao the PBR sounds rather pricey :|
Nice place for short stays though
