Enjoyed your report as always KK. It's like having a great tour guide :D

Prelution-
Check out this link it on common questions, there are a few threads on cell phones and many other questions:
http://www.lb-69.com...ND_ANSWERS.html

I thought it used to be a sticky, but appears to have been bumped.

Anyway, without trying to hijack KK's trip report, I'll keep it quick.
I'm from the same area as you and did bring my phone, just swapped out the sim when I got there and had a local thai number.

However not all US phones will work overseas.
Your phone must be a world phone, i.e. compatible with the Thai networks (you'll have to look your up - I'm not sure if dual band will work, I have a quad band). It also shouldn't have SIM Lock, which unfortunately most US carriers have. Although I have heard for a fee, the shops in Thailand can get around this - I didn't have to worry about it so my info is just hearsay.

Welcome to the forum, search around and read a lot, there is tons of info here, and if you still have questions I'm sure someone here has the answer :D

Just wanted to let you know that I loved reading this thread in the forum KK. Your thread has gotten me to break my cherry in this forum.

Hi Prelution,

Great to see another lurker finally get around to posting. :D

Nice to hear that you enjoyed the thread and gained from reading it.

I think the phone question has already been answered reasonably, but for the record, I simply take my Nokia 6230i phone from home, and insert my Thai Simcard when I arrive. I have done similar over the years with other models and never had a problem, but I appreciate it does vary depending on the phone & provider you use in your home country.

On the off chance your own phone isn't compatible, plenty of places to pick up a cheap phone in Bangkok, Pattaya or elsewhere.

Cheers

Hi Hoot,

Busy planning my next installment as we speak....

Always appreciate getting feedback, particularly the positive kind.

For the record, had to remove the "sticky" for a few days to focus attention on the launch of the new website www.Longmint.com , however the stickies will be re-instated shortly.

Cheers

Great report as always KK, you always seem to capture all the "local color" of all the establishments you visit. And the pictures are always "top shelf"!!!!

Thanks for the feedback Trentsocal ! :)

Have booked a plane ticket and will be back in August to do it all once again.

Really looking forward to escaping the rat race, and experiencing the delights on offer in Bangkok & Pattaya.

Currently trying to decide on a title for my next adventure. :?

Cheers

Gaz,

Not sure how I should respond to that one. :?

I do have a university degree, and have worked for the last 16 years or more in my industry.

I really only earn a modest income.

However, finding the money for the trip isn't a problem, it's actually managing to get time off from work which is the challenge.

Cheers

I think that Koykaeng reports are always the best landmark for all of us ladyboy lovers and expecially for me that assume to have similar tastes about quality and services. Many thanks again.

I appreciate the report as always. I was a member here for a few years previously, but hadn't visited for a while (I got a new laptop and couldn't retrieve my log-in info). Thanks for all the work on the forum as well.

Sometimes I do wonder whether people find my G-rated material interesting, as I get the impression the X-rated stuff is what the forum members really want.

Personally, I'm more concerned with posting some information that other members will find beneficial when they themselves travel to Thailand, and are looking to explore the scene.

dont wonder !!!. personally i find the food guides really useful- esp where to get real thai food/streetfood etc around nana or elsewhere. you do a great job. its all the details and clear info that do it. ( And decent text formatting- unlike mine)

thanks KK great report and advise.

mmm the lovely jenny at guess bar now that brings back memories.

I had a similar experience when i took a LB to chiang mai with me in 2005 we travelled for about a week together. I paid for travel and food and accomadation and running cost and she never asked for any money at all, this worried me a lot.

On our last planned day in CM i decided to stay another week so i could avoid returning to BKK with her as I was getting itchy feet. When i told her i was staying in CM tears started flowing and she confessed her undying love for me. I was honest and told her my feelings (mmmm thinking about it now probably not a good idea) and then she freaked out demanded money and expensives for the time we spent together. I gave her 5000 baht and she left. Lucky i only understand a little Thai as im sure she said some really bad things about me. LOL

I was pleased i decided to stay as I met a couple of very cute LB's on bikes at the night market. But to my dissapointment they would not go for 3some so i chose the cute one with the longest legs and lovely long hair mmmmmmm and you all can imagine the rest. (im shy, sorry no pics as the GF at the time in OZ checks everything when i return).

the night market when they are closing is a good place to fine some LB, they are often near the middle section of the market where the market opens up to a large area not just along the main street. I think next to Royal Lanna hotel from memory

there are many open air foot massage venues there and some of the LB often say hi as they look for clients.
pela is no more. a necessary name change to prevent wife turning me into a post op
