Sky Chanel from the UK are involved in this project, so I am not sure it is a serious concern, or another way to generate more episodes for their "documentary" series about lbs. Note the manager doesn't seem too knowledgeable - especially with his claim this was the first lb singing group.

I do wish them success, but I am skeptical about the backing and management.

Were you watching the same series I was? The manager you are talking about clearly said Sony signed a ladyboy band that had moderate success but they only sang Thai which prevented them going international. He just said it would be the first ladyboy band to sing in English & would, therefore, be more likely to do well. In fact one of the band (Emmy) was in that very group and that is why he persuaded her not to quit. They showed the Sony band's video whilst he talked about why they weren't global so clearly he knew Gurlz weren't the first ladyboy band - just the first English singing ladyboy band.

which was posted at the beginning of this thread - Barry Upton said he didn't think it had been done in the world so far - but he has since corrected himself now the series has started.

 

There was also Lady, a Korean lb band several years ago, and Harisu (a solo singer), and Venus Flytrap did not only sing in Thai.

 

Regardless of what he said, I do hope they are successful.

With all due respect. The forum is a place for all of us to share information and place for people to share a common interest that society generally doesn't accept. This is really not the place to vent your personal dislike of some one whether that be Scott or anyone else. I suggest that if you have a personal problem with Scott then you sort it out with him and not here. Thanks
