NANA GROUP NEWSFLASH

 

Despite rumours and misleading media reports the political problems in Bangkok are not anywhere near Nana Plaza. Also, there is NO CURFEW and Nana Plaza is operating as normal. However, we strongly advise that you stay away from the protest areas. Come down to Nana Plaza it is safe and I know as I am there every night.

Thanks for that update on the current issues in BKK. I have been a bit concerned about it myself since I have a booked a flight for early February. Hopefully things will have calmed down long before then.

Bangkok Hangover Tour Visits Cascade GoGo Bar

 

Last night another bunch of daring foreign travelers visited Nana Plaza, as part of a Bangkok Hangover Tour. A compulsory visit is to one of the ladyboy gogo bars, as ladyboys were featured in the popular Hangover 2 movie filmed on location in Bangkok.

 

A lot tend to choose the easy option and visit Obsession GoGo Bar for a quick drink and then, go to Angelwitch Rock Dancers to watch professionally choreographed shows. This time they chose to visit Cascade GoGo Bar, which is now rightly getting the exposure it deserves.

World Famous USA Band REHAB Live In Nana Plaza

Demun Jones and his world famous band REHAB will be live in concert on the Ground Level in Nana Plaza. REHAB will be live this Wednesday from 9:00 PM. Come down and enjoy the party before you hit the gogo bars!

Demun Jones is a really cool guy. Demun and the Rehab band did a great job at several venues in Bangkok, which included a charity concert at Climax Club and one at Hillary 2 Bar on Soi Nana. The live gig in Nana Plaza went down very well, the packed audience loved it.

 The live gig in Nana Plaza went down very well, the packed audience loved it.

 

  Actually it was a little awkward for a while. But the crowd eventually warmed up a bit. I watched it from out front at Voodoo. I have a hat exactly like that. $11.97 at Walmart. The guy and his hat came in Obsession to use the bathroom before the show. I wonder if he knew what planet he had landed on.

Curiosity and all that.. I just went through the NanaGroup threads over again to find #94. Despite that being a very pleasant experience in itself I couldn't find a picture of #94 

 

I guess you have to be there and you were, you lucky boy!
