Yes it was Kloster, I remember that too, haven't seen or tasted it in a while.

Ironically it means "monastery" in German , perhaps the monks get an exclusive supply

How come Carlsberg is making a come back in Thailand, presumably it is now imported ?

I recall my early days in Thailand, we had only three beers to choose at local prices in the Pattaya Beer Bars; Singha, Singha Gold & the third was a german sounding name, something like Kloster I think it was.

its being imported from Vietnam and comes in under some kind of tax treaty for asean so no tax and selling broadly same price as Heineken.

Some updated pics from the last week - I am waiting for a load more and will update asap of the new staff. Now 14 salaried LB on staff working everyday in Bar Anaconda and lots more on the way.

The eagle eyed visitors during the first couple days of the bar opening will probably have noticed the new wall which now totally blocks out the toilet area.

Tonight's party night featuring all the new uniforms is looking set to be a good one. 18 girls will form the starting line up incl three of my favourites GIP, Gate & Ink from Guess Bar. The BBQ starts at 9pm and showtime from 10pm onwards.

also nice to meet up with all my fellow BM`s i didnt even knew there was so many in town

Another great party - thanks all for attending. My head is telling me it must have been good as its throbbing even now.

Without doubt, apart from catching up Batman and the delightful Oh, the highlight of the evening was watching GIP dancing in patent thigh length boots on the bar. I sincerely hope someone managed to get a picture of that as unfortunately my photography team forgot the camera

I must say, the food just keeps getting better & better at these events. I really like the Potato skins with cheese & Bacon as well as the assorted kebabs, sausages and various salads.

Many more events being planned and 3 on the trot starting 23rd December with an interbar dance contest in bikinis, 24th is the Christmas eve party sponsored by TT Chang and 25th is the Christmas night blowout party.
