At First I wasn't that bothered about going as lately I’ve become slightly jaded with Patts…we've all been there, seen it, done it, shagged it and got the T-shirt...but as I took each small step, booking the flight, then the hotel, then on to Mr T's...hunting for my left over Baht, bought myself some new togs...I found it starting to take shape...

I phoned the banks to inform them where I'll be and the penny finally dropped...I'm off on holiday to Pattaya!

Thats the best way just wait till the time comes and don't build yourself up to what you want to happen .
Just go with the flow and see what happens , a far better time will be had by all 8)

No countdown clocks for you Petesie me boy !!! :D

As always a fine well written and humorous report Petesie with great pics .

Well done that man :clapclap:

A thoroughly enjoyable read Brother Petesie!

I think a fair number of us can relate to that phenomenon of which you describe.....the overwhelming urgency and libido of years past giving way to a certain gratifying feeling of calmness and go-with-the-flow which comes with experience and ever-increasing vintage.

Your TR has me looking forward to my own upcoming trip in Nov/Dec. Your TR has reminded me that it's best to not have an agenda, and in fact, I expect to lay low in a comfortable (for a change) hotel the first few days to just overcome the inevitable jetlag......and then an unscripted meander throughout Phuket and the surrounding islands.

As always, thanks for sharing. Your contributions as a writer and a mod are much appreciated.

Cheers OTK...

I had a fairly low LB consumption this trip by any standard, while a few did indeed look tasty I guess the "kid in a sweet shop" syndrome has just plain worn off.

A more laid back approach seems to set the scene these days and of course there is the added advantage of there being less drama....

I am fully with you on this one Petesie. After numerous visits the take it as it comes, no rush approach suits a few of us it seems. Great read, wonderful shots that captured the essence of the place. Thanks for putting it all together, I know how time consuming that can be, very much appreciated.
We laugh because it is true.

Ok fellas...thanks for the response, believe it or not this does contribute and factor in the structure of a Trip Report, without it we may as well just post the pics.

To the future poster of Trip Reports, I wish you luck...it's not a hard job, just throw it out there and see what happens...after 2 or 3 posts it tends to take on a life of it's own... 8)

In the spirit of continuity...let this one die so no more posts please...8)

Peace.

Just managed to trawl through this cracking TR. Just what I needed prior to my forthcoming venture. Top shelf Petesie, I expected no less from you.
