I call ahead to the Celtic GH and book 3 rooms, what a relief to know we have rooms waiting for us at the other end of this journey. The journey should take about 3 hours or so, but as it is a holiday, and the traffic is bad in reality it takes 5 hours. We stop for refreshments but to be on the safe side, we ensure at least one of us keeps an eye on the taxi just in case he makes off with all our gear. You can never be too careful. We eventually arrive at the GH about 4 pm, and the owner tells us we were lucky we phoned ahead, if not they would be full by now because of the holiday. As NW and I are planning to stay for a week, they give us the rooms for 600 Baht a night, good value for what we are getting. My room has a narrow balcony with a view on the port, and is next door to NW.

Kliome suggested Hua Hin to me last year and I bypassed it completely wanting to spend more time on Phuket. I may go to Hua Hin on my next visit, so as always, appreciate the great reporting BB.
Just out of curiosity, what was it that needed blurring on the belly of your traveling partner in that one particular photo?
Also, you included a photo of Canterbury Tales in a previous posting. Did you stay there? I am told the owner, though married, is ladyboy friendly. So wondering if you have info on price and thoughts on the hotel.
Dang, 3000 baht for a 5 hour journey is a bargain. I cannot imagine what the taxi-fare for such a ride would be here in the U.S.
Thanks buddy,
Nix

Thanks Nix. Just wanted to cover the shirt, because it is quite distinguishable and wanted to keep his id hidden, totally precautionary. Regarding CT, that was the view from Soy Chow, no other reason for the photo. It does good food, here is a website for the place http://www.canterburytalescafe.com/ never stayed there myself.I'm looking forward to this part.

HH is a handy option as a balance to Pattaya, and on a good day a taxi will do it in just over 3 hours, as you said not bad for under 3000 baht. Besides the bar area there is quite a town, and a big mall, so something to do, along with a 5 km sandy beach. It's quite popular with the golf set, if that is your cup of tea.

My only question is this...
You went to Pattaya basically to drink and hang out with your buddies? You barfined I think one maybe two girls the entire trip and I believe slept alone 4 or 5 nights and no daytime shorttime sessions. Are you still kind of shy about barfining ladyboys or just not into it?

If you do a lookup you'll find Bumblebee is a long time veteran of LOS, having spent several months at a time over the past few years - I'm sure that you can understand that the urge to "shag" numerous partners may not be necessary after that much experience.
BB, thanks for the great reporting and glad to see you had a chance to return sooner than you expected!

Thanks Cytollivar, Rx summed it up pretty well and you ask an interesting question. Having been into this scene for a while now as RX says, I am a bit jaded, and so unless something special grabs my attention, I am more than happy to chill out with LB lovers in LB bars, the whole atmosphere is my buzz, and call it a night if that feels right at the time. I have never been into STs so I seldom if ever dabble in the afternoons, preferring instead a LT for the whole night when I am up for it.
I don't see the point in taking someone back to the room for the sake of it, just because I can, if I am not fully into it at that particular time. I am sure there are others guy here who know what I getting at. More a case of quality and the right feeling rather than sheer quantity at this stage.
Cheers.

Thanks RX, yea it was great to be back, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Just had a wonderful content feeling all the time I was there, seeing old friends again and visiting my favourite spots in Los.[

Welcome to the forum Cytolliver.
You were obviously reading BB's trip report very closely. Not a bad question at all. When reading the TR's on this forum, you see a wide continuum of interest, from those who ST daily (sometimes multiples per day), to those who are more like BB. A wide range of experience and interest here.
I lean more towards BB's end of the spectrum....lots of time just chilling and exploring.....some nights sleeping comfortably alone, and other nights (usually) LT with an LB of choice.
You sound like you're acquainted with the scene. Please jump in!
...again, welcome.

Very nicely worded. Although I may indulge in a quite a bit of excess from time to time, I think I fall in the 'quality time' camp as well.
I'm looking forward to the Hua Hin leg of your trip. I'd like to venture down there myself one of these trips. Seems laid back, and a good place for one to recharge.

We settle down, and order. Before we know it, the drinks are flowing, lady drinks are coming fast and furious, and all feels good. I am trying my best to communicate with Gann, the more drinks we have the easier it becomes. I look around the soi, and have a big smile on my face, damn I love this town, especially in the company of like minded good guys, and a cute LB in my arms. They when things cannot get any better, Comfortably Numb comes on the sound system....perfect.
