Phuket is my favorite destination, your bar is one of my all-time worldwide favorites, and knowing you'll be there for the next few years is welcome news. Like so many others have expressed, it is truly a delight to know you.

Yes thanks Jim, very helpful. She doesn't sound any different to any number of pretty katoeys. They smile & preen while waiting for their BIG FISH to arrive. A big fish who has BIG MONEY who only wants to spend it on them.

In the meantime they will entertain lesser mortals. We might not be the special one but we can rent their favours & imagine what it must be like.

I rarely post on your thread as I just don't get to Phuket very often, it's been over 2 years since I last did. But I do keep an eye on how things are going and I hope the bar is still going to the same high standards when I do make the effort to return.

What a great bar you and ning nong run Jim, and long may it continue.

It was actually exactly 4 years ago when you and "The Legends" as you were known in those days, were amongst the first Forum members to come. I shall always be grateful to you, Dirty Mike, Anthony, and Dixon Cox for writing very positive things about the bar, despite our shortcomings in those early days. It undoubtedly helped persuade many other BMs to give us a try, and since then there has been a steady stream of guys from this forum, and latterly, other forums to C & Ds.
In those early days we were still reliant on the family tourists. Nowadays the demographics have changed, and there are many younger people here, spawning an almost Ibiza-like disco scene. The families can no longer afford to come in their numbers. Luckily, in our niche, the guys are still prepared to put up with bad exchange rates in their quest.
A big problem for the girlie bars is the disco scene. Their girls are finding it a much easier way of life to just turn up at a disco at 1am, pull a young guy, and dance for an hour or two before returning to his hotel for the payoff. Fortunately, this doesn't apply to the LB scene, and we are still able to maintain a large, and attractive staff level.
Another problem for phuket is the tuk-tuk racket. Again, thanks to this, and other, forums, most people are ready for it, and make alternative arrangements And i don't know what its like in P*****a, but the latest irritation here, are touts. It used to just be indian tailors, but now there's rows of the little twats flapping their laminated "menus" in your face, trying to get you to visit ago-gos with their over-inflated prices and aggressive "customer-relations" teams - i witnessed a young australian get a terrible beating last night when he (stupidly) kicked off about his bar tab, at Moulin Rouge russian bar across the road from us.
Here i am writing negative things! Ffs! Anyway, thanks Kliome for your support. Sorry for rambling on.

Friday Night
i was late into the bar due to a dalliance with this cute little femboy i took from Corner bar at the top of soi sansabai. I had seen her the previous night, as i passed, on my way home. I had a prior arrangement so couldn't stop, but promised myself i would investigate last night.
Here she is on the Stairway to Heaven, and in The Skylab.
19 years old, and an hour of bliss for me:
