Also, well done to AB for putting the list together of who has or hasn't got silicon titays, perhaps the most informative post he's ever made, so well done to FooBar for prizing it out of him.

I have noticed that there is a bit of litarary sniping going on recently. Some of it in the direction of Jimbo. Come on!
Guys, I have been a regular visitor to los for 15 years and a friend and fan of C&D since it was a small operation in soi paradise. then to tiger entertainment , I then watched it slowly down the pan for years, then to the site near where it it is now ... It was dying, no reflection on Ning Nong there.
Then along came Jim and put his money where his mouth was. because of his drive and perserverance it has become the place it has become today, somewhere that i cant imagine coming to Hkt and it not being there.
Make no mistake but for Jim it would NOT be there and we would all be the poorer for it, not in the pocket maybe, but in every other aspect we would.
without his contribution to this and other forums a lot of you guys would have probably never found out this jewel of the LB scene in HKT.
So stop the bitching and enjoy this site and most important go out there and enjoy it, I will be there again in sept october, and cant wait. Thank you Jim, C&D is my sanctuary in this rather miserable world, the Boat house is calling me .

Maybe you think too mutt- a lot of what is written is tongue in cheek- lost in translation amongst the different nationalities here. There are a few overly-sensitive people on the forum as well though- its just the nature of the beast. At one point one big girls blouse was gonna stop a holiday cos I made him cry in here. :loco:

Don't read too much in to it and take the forum for what it is is my advice.

And as for the French- :redcard: 555 (that was a joke ( I think)).

Monsieur teecee, everyone around here is in no doubt as to Jim's value to our community and the contribution he makes.

Of course the majority of his postings relate to the promotion or otherwise of the splendid establishment Cocktail & Dreams however, it's quite impossible to keep everybody happy all of the time and even the very best places in this world are not immuned to criticism (constructive or otherwise)But in Jimbo's case, when some negative comments do appear, the author needs to be sure his facts are right because a prompt response soon arrives :D

Jim is good at many things and defending his corner in such circumstances is one of them.

Certianly not, teecee. Jimbo and his bar is very much appreciated here, and while i may not comment on every post he makes, doesn´t make it less valued. Mr Jim also possess that great dry british humour i´m so fond of, and i feel we´re on the same wavelength, should a comment come out as "sniping".

Again, this thread is much appreciated!

Teecee: whilst i appreciate your support teecee, on this occasion i made a snap comment to a request from FooBar, and, justifiably received a pretty acid comment in return. But as Ivor says, sometimes things can get a bit misconstrued. I was Mr Grumpy that day, after fending off a few other daft requests around the fora - and my arch enemy:Fartbook!

Teppis: great to meet up with you and Sonya. Look forward to next time.

Pentire & Sev7en - glad to see you're both still enjoying the tread.

Now on with the show:

Monday Night
I shall be glad when this shitty month is over - its going to be the worst on (my) record. I'm going to have to be Mr Nasty tonight, and let a couple of staff go, just to cut the wages bill. A horrible task, but necessary in the light of this dreadful season.
And i'm carefully noting which girls are notching up barfines, without any accompanying ladydrinks. They're so busy trying to look after themselves, they're forgetting to look after the bar. A war counsel to be held as soon as NingNong returns from her extended tour of Scandinavia and its surrounds!
