Stickman lost lots of his credibility writing lots of hearsays and unsubstantiated reports and allegations.

Let’s wait and see…. and hope for the best. Patong beach is great to walk with a lady or just to hang around on beach and talk  , would be shame to move Bangla venues from vicinity of the beach to this shithole land behind Jungceylon. Although, last month I saw some construction works (laying concrete) behind Jungceylon. Who knows, this is Thailand.

I echo the comments about Stickman, he seems blissfully unaware of what has sprung up around Jungceylon recently. the following was posted on the Phuket Forums yesterday by a guy in the loop:

Vital Information 1. Just been informed that Tiger complex in Bangla is no longer going to be demolished and have a hotel built. My source has informed me that Tiger Complex has just taken on a 10 year lease.

Conclusion: This means that the new Tiger Boxing Ring area is dead in the water.

Vital Information 2. The center strip of bars in Soi Sea Dragon is moving. Not to worry - they are moving 2 metres to the right (east) to provide the new hotel with an access road. The Suzi Wong side will be a small walkway not open to traffic but the girls will still be there.

Conclusion: Bangla is here to stay and all talk about moving past Ratutit is bullsh1t.

End of Post.

It will be interesting to see if the above is true. Ijust find it interesting that the Tiger people have invested money in the complex next to JungCeylon. Its completely dead in the bars up there at the moment and you'd have to be a mug to get a bar there. Interesting that the access to a supposed luxury hotel will be down bangla/Sea Dagon though given theat it goes over to pedestrian acccess only at nite. There is a second access from Beach Road though. As with everything in Patong it will be wait and watch.

For Rob the construction behind Jungceylon at the moment is some sort of OTOP type 1 storey market stall going in. There's a fair set up there at the moment with fluffy bunnies and squirrels for sale. It seems an incredible wast of prime building land, with more condos going in across from it, but I guess the plan is to sit on the land and watch the price increase. It's the last big plot around there and must be worth a fortune.

Yes, this talk of the end of Bangla is a load of crap, initiated by the current leaseholder of the Tiger complex (a frenchman) who's lease ends in 2 years time. The master lease then reverts to our landlord, Mrs Rouyrin, the owner of the Simon Cabaret empire.
She has promised not only to continue with the Tiger complex, but to enhance it! It remains to be seen, of course, what these "enhancements" produce.
The current leaseholder of Tiger, anticipating his vast loss of income, built the new Tiger and Boxing stadium, in an attempt to get the nightlife scene shifting back in his favour. But as Ivor says, it should be renamed White Elephant complex. Its falling flat on its face, and i feel sorry for the barowners who paid a million baht key money to "get in early" !
Bangla will always be Bangla. And while the tourists flock in huge numbers every night to spend their baht, will continue to dominate Patong.

Apologies for not posting any pics, but i did leave my camera in soi Croc the other night. But according to the staff, Dutch Cowboy said he would return it, although as yet he hasn't been in contact. Fingers crossed!
I really don't want to have to fork out another 18,000 Bt to replace it!

I heard same same about LB69 crew not filming in Pattaya but to be honest, Bangkok is just one 2-4k BHT plane ticket away from Phuket. :harhar:

Just got back to enemy territory.

No TR from me, as you all know what FatboyUK gets up to on his adventures in Thailand.

Let's just say that there were shit loads of smiles, from both me and Annie, and there will continue to be.

It was a great party, and hope the camera returns so that all can see. It must of been good, as even I rang the bell....WTF!

Nice to come home, even if for just 4 nights. Thanks all.
If it fails to inflate....blow into this tube.

You wouldn't believe the relief I felt when I saw you had your camera back Jim. I have definately become addicted to living vicariously through your camera lens. One of your girls sends me photos almost everyday, but it isn't quite the same as seeing what is happening at the bar.
