Judging by those posting on that link it's suggested that 30-40k per month is what it takes to live in Bangkok and enjoy a fairly active social life (but not serial P4P mongering).
The thing to bare in mind is that there is a difference between living and working in Thailand and just staying in Thailand. IMO if you are living and working and your leisure activities are restricted to weekends and evenings, and not revolve around bar life, then 40k is ample - with a willingness to stay in moderate accommodation and attempt to adopt a more 'Thai' lifestyle.
If you have too much time on your hands, regulalrly visit the bars, like luxurious accommodation, and can't go without daily western food and other treats, then it's a different figure, maybe 80k+

IF you pay rent then that is one significant item of expense.
I posted a report by "BarFly" about a year ago which is worth a read - it was posted in Pattaya People/Mail.
EXCLUDING rent and transport I would say 60/70 K baht a month
Rental can be from 10K up to *^&^$^ - a house with pool is about 50K per month
You also need to look at your personal profile.
Will you need medical cover here or are you utilising Holiday Insurance.
Medical cover is necessary as there is no Blue Cross/Govt plan.
Basically it is difficult to give an absolute number - it is dependent on
Rental price
Transport
Distance form night venues
Diet - do you go native and eat local food OR do you want to eat out at Farang venues
Then there is mongering - we are all different.
One thing I have learned is "I live in a candy store" so I eat less candy.
As a tourist (1 week to 3 months) you may go a bit OTT but when you live here it is difficult to live a hedonsistic lifestyle 365 days per year!
Good luck. I would choose accommodation carefully. Do you want to be in the condo adjacent to a bar OR live further out and pay less but visit the night spots as and when you desire/need.

Sorry stupid question
I just had to ask for all I know you guys are high rolling ove there
Im sure it could be spent if you tried imagine how many bar fines and lady drinks that is
Realistically 100-150K (BAHT) seems realistic, I dont know if you including rent as well that could be a stretch as usual its down to the lifestyle you want to lead there
