thanks for that brit, sorry to use you like an encyclopeadia. but i think this is a great topic for further discussion, sorry for hi jacking your tr bb .
one more thing brit, you have lbs in other countries, but why percentage wise of the population does thailand seem to have the most lbs than any where else :?:
and also the prettiest as watched that tv programme about tvs mostly in the states and the majority of them were stinking, whereas in los the majority of lbs seem to be quite pretty.
No probs Rev, and sorry BB (hope the comments are not detracting from your excellent TR thread).
That’s a slightly more difficult question to answer Rev.
IMHO there are 4 reasons for the concentration of LB's in Thailand
(1) Thai's seem genetically predisposed to easily become women - Thai guys are not hairy (indeed find it difficult to grow decent facial/body hair), they are small boned similar to women, and hormone/testosterone mix might not be similar to western guys. There’s a significant gay population which would also point to that genetic anomaly
(2) Many Thai’s grow up in commune type environments especially in rural communities
(living/playing with large extended families) where there typically is a significant concentration of females. When the boy is not exposed to so many male role models and is surrounded by girls looking after him and playing with him as a kid then he may be heavily influenced; and see the females as something he wishes to become in future life.
(3) The Buddhist Religion and general open mindedness of the Thai culture is more accepting to LB’s and to alternative lifestyles – and being an LB does not come with the same stigma’s as would occur growing up in western cultures. That doesn’t mean they have an easy ride as they grow up through school etc – but it is far more widely accepted and easier for a Thai to come out and be recognised for their own identity at an earlier age. Indeed in some farming communities having an LB in the family is met with delight as they maybe seen has having high earning potential in the future (not ideal parental responsibility – but regrettably were poverty is prevalent then some attitudes like this come through)
(4) Historically – as Thailand developed into an R&R stop over for militaries and later for general vacationing farang tourists the Thai guys saw the women making good money and clearly saw this also as an opportunity to have a decent income in relation to local cost of living. More recent developments in elective surgeries have meant that LB’s are becoming more and more indistinguishable to normal women – and indeed are surpassing GG’s in looks. This has encouraged the creation of a centre of excellence in Thailand for gender type reassignments and other surgeries – thus a flourishing cosmetic surgery industry has the demand is both there locally from the Thai nationals but also from visiting farang who seek cheap cosmetic surgeries.
