just wandering after seeing these fem boy pics. do most of them become fully blown lbs, or do a lot of them remain fem boys, or is it a natural progression for them, if they are a fem boy they want to be a lb :?
as seen a few gay men in patts when walking past their bars and they are not feminine at all.

Good question Rev, and we could go into a deep discussion about this topic, but in short, the feminine ones tend to become LBs as they get older. They see themselves as female. The more masculine gay men are that, gay men.

I am sure many guys here could give a bit more insight into this.

This is an interesting topic...

Fem Boys are a more recognised categorisation amongst farang visiting Thailand than amongst Thais themselves . Thai's seem to categorise on gay or LB. I think the confusion is that some farang consider the fem boys as the transitionary phase to LB; some group them as merely gays.

LB’s are not ‘gay’... from early life they believe themselves to be gendered incorrectly (some Thai’s see being LB in this life as punishment being a sin from a previous life). They see themselves as evolving and achieving full feminine form. Part of that process is having to go through the fem boy stage – but at no time do they really consider themselves to be ‘gay’ – even if they have to work in a gay environment to save the money to achieve their dreams. LB’s in the main are only attracted to straight guys.

Gays are attracted to straight/ gay and bi-guys. They are comfortable in their gender – and are happy to live as a man (and on occasion some gays enjoy dressing as a woman for parties or nights out – but only as fun not a permanent switch). Gays’ typically have their own fashion sense (often seen as ‘over the top’ fashions from which a straight guy would not wear). Often gays are more vain and more sensitive to their look (hair and grooming) than a straight guy – who is less focused on his external looks – a straight guy typically is happy to look smartish going out.

Unfortunately some LB’s have to give up their desire to become LB (thus becoming more feminine or becoming a woman) because they simply are not anatomically good enough as they grow up – i.e. their physical attributes are too masculine or too large so the LB has to accept that they have no alternative but to adapt to be gay. Also they maybe unattractive as a woman – and accept that a more appropriate route for them is to be classified as gay. But this accepted as a a huge compromise.

The Fem Boy I consider is more off a transitionary stage than a sexual categorisation/orientation.
Fem Boys typically are experimenting with make-up, and developing their feminine walk and generally mimic the female traits, growing their hair and planning their future look.

Hope this stimulates further debate and would like to hear what others think on the subject.
