Some excellent comments there, much more reasoned and polite than the childish twaddle i got on the other forum, when i put up the same controversial post!
If i have offended anyone about sponsorship, i apologise. However, its a subject i feel quite strongly about. It was brought home to me one day, while i was in this very internet shop. There was an LB opposite, who i know well. She called me over to help compose an email to her "boyfriend". Inevitably, it asked for money: 100,000Bt ! When we finished it, she sent exactly the same email to 6 guys!! She told me she expected a 30% success rate - thats 180,000Bt. Not bad for a morning's work!
She went off to Jungceylon shopping centre laughing, with her friend.
I felt so ashamed that i had been a party to her trickery, i have never forgotten it.
Back to topic:
I often express my thoughts, opinions, and advice. If you disagree with my thoughts or opinions, feel free to say so - politely! If you're rude, i'll be ruder! If you ignore my advice: "up to you", but the phrase "I told you so", springs to mind.
I hope also to bring humour into it. I think many of you english speakers understand my dry humour. Actually, so do many non-english speakers - i've had many comments from swedish and german customers.(Oh, and danish:Batman, lol).
Finally, i even share some of the financial details, as i know many of you are interested in how we farangs get on. I'm always being asked "Do you make money?". Answer is always: "No, you dont "make money' in Thailand. The best you can hope for is to make a living".
In conclusion, i never set out to offend anybody with this thread, but sometimes, in avoiding being bland, things get a bit distorted.
Anyway, here's some pics from last night, starting with
Ae's "Glare".
I talked with
Ae for some time last night, and she's decided to take a month out, for reasons that will remain private, but which i'm sure you can guess at!
I asked her for a final picture, and after some discussion, she decided on "The Glare" ! Well done
Ae, probably very appropriate. See you soon, i hope.
