Suprised by some of those times from Europe.
It's about 9 - 10 hours from Sydney. You would think the times from Europe would be alot more. Maybe you get the tailwind.

fucking too long. 1 hour drive to airport, 2hour wait at airport(3 hours). then 7 hours to dubai, then 3 hours wait dubai(13 hours), then 6 hours till bkk(19 hours), then the 1 and a half to two hours taxi trip to patts, all in all over 20 hours, what a fucking slog, but well worth it.
i have read that some bms get free upgrades when flying, apart from redeeming air miles how do you do it?, been thailand (lost count) think 14/15 times, and never had a upgrade, what is the secret?

Usually 6 hours flying time from Narita to either Bangkok or Phuket, plus 3-4 hours to get to the airport and check-in...

Takes me about 20. I usually have to fly from NC to a US hub which takes about 2 hours, then 13 to Japan and 5 or so to BKK. It is really torture. I usually try to bring something to help me sleep as that seems to make the time go by faster.
