I continue to stay there as I am comfortable there, as Rev rightly says no hassle with guests no matter what state the pair of you are in or whatever time you roll in................

They always ring to see if everything is ok before they hand over the ID as well.......good room service and the staff take care of you......there's even a visiting massage service.....

I also love the location as it is central to all my fave spots.........!

Gotta agree with Petesie, its a great hotel.

I actualy like the standard rooms over the delux as I think the delux are in front and the standard rooms are in back. As the back looks over an overgrown lot the balcony is very Private! as long as you keep the noise down :)

the only detractors I have about the hotel are 1 the free breakfast isnt all that great! I only ever made it twice, and I didnt miss much.
( hey does anyone know what that other Heinz sauce is next to the ketchup ? )

Another thing is the place is clean!, just DONT LOOK UNDER THE BED! :)

Soundproofiing sucks, and a hard sneeze could bust the lock on your door, but I've never heard anyone getting anything ripped off from their room there.

But the staff were very nice and friendly and that TukTuk was convenient.
The cut through the Mall was also great, led you right past the big green cash machine for your morning top up! plus thay have the supermarket over on the right for all your daily needs ( I said daily not nightly! ok :) )

Cheers

I've made a reservation for 3 nights, standard room. They quote me 1399baht per night + 500baht security deposit per night. Has anyone in the forum recently been here (2011)? is there anything new/updates I need to know about?

Stayed before, although not recently......I lasted eight hours in a standard room because they are tiny.
At 1400 Baht definately overpriced IMO however, the larger rooms are very spacious and more like a studio apartments.

Most of us used the good old PBR as our first stop in Funtown as it comes well recommended....deservedly so.... 8)

However, we do move on and find other places which offer slightly better facilities and standard of rooms for similar prices....usually within range of all our fave spots too... :D

On my last trip to Patts I was stopped in the street by Natcha the receptionist from there who gave me a big hug and enquired where I'd been.....even though it had been well over a year since my previous stay...

I spent recently 2 weeks in PBR but got an eyes infection, I think, because of the very dirty swimming pool. Same problem got 2 swedish that attended the swimming pool in the same period. Anyway, apart from that, always a good deal with the promotion rate for low season ( 1 day free every 6 ) but the staff should keep cleaner the swimming pool using appropriate disinfectant ( I told this to Boem..)
