As you are a regular in Phuket and know the place very well. May I ask you were are you mostly staying? Any alternatives?

Is it near the action?

I won't see you there because I'll be gone when you arrive.

Hey lbaddict - sorry to hear that we miss each other. Its always great to meet fellow BM's.

I have to say, no im not a regular to Phuket, but soon I will be. Last May was my first time there, as I started to get bored of Koh Samui, fancied a change and wanted to visit C&D's.

There are much better qualified people on the forum who can answer your question, and also the link on the Accomodation and Travel thread "LB Friendly Phuket Hotels", is a gold mine of info and should probably be your first stop.

Last time, I stayed at the new Ibis Hotel because the company I worked for had a contract with them which got me a fantastic discount, and was paying about 600THB a night. New, modern, pool, by the sea, guest friendly etc. Was nice, but the problem was, it wan't near the action, and both me and Annie got fed up of the distance. Im booked for next month in ThePlaceToStay, following recommendation from this forum. Its near the end of Bangla, looks nice, offers airport pick up and drop off and is competitively priced.
